2. Liberman doesn't look as flabby and scary as usual!! |
|
very nice work. His face usually depresses me and I am reminded of Palpatine from Star Wars but he's looking healthier now.

Lieberman hasn't known about bills that we're up in this past term. One older gentleman asked him why he wasn't there for a vote on Dual Eligibility, Harkin had to save him and give him time enough to think of an answer. After finding out about what a bill he missed a vote on was actually about, then he said he was in support of the bill.
Nice to know now, Joe. It speaks volumes on your concern about SS when you don't even know what SS related bills are coming up...and those that you've missed.

5. Lieberman asked flat out if he would be "evenhanded" |

in the I/P situation.
LONG ass answer...went into the "historical alliance with Israel" bit, but now trying to say that he was speaking on Dean seeming to step back from that relationship with his "evenhanded" statement.
In other words, he's now trying to say that he'd be evenhanded (he talked about the two state solution), while staying a strong ally with Israel, without saying the word "evenhanded".
Joe repeated at the end that he saw Dean's statements as meaning that he'd pull back from supporting Israel.
Joe, you're freeping lying. You knew exactly what he meant. Stop spinning lies about his stance on this issue.

I may have heard these statements incorrectly....
Check out the replays later tonight yourself. Lieberman's answers are WAY too long for me to transcribe in full, especially in this type of a forum.
