Anyone see Blitzer today, on Clinton?
His program started with a piece on Deep Throat -- and invited a couple of guests who felt this man was a traitor.

Then he had a piece the rising death tolls in Iraq, and invited an Iraqi politician who explained that the increasing losses as a sign the resistance was almost over.

Then -- in-fucking-explicably -- he did a piece on Clinton, called "The Survivor, which was a short retrospective on the Monica story, which began with citing that he did nothing to stop Osama bin Laden. The guy he interviewed said that while George W would be remembered as either a great president or a terrible president, that Clinton would be remembered as a mediocre one.

He ended by asking if ANYONE likes Howard Dean at ALL (snicker snicker).

I ask you -- just how far is this guy's head up his ass? Where do they get this shit about Clinton not being POPULAR and well thought of generally, or are they just telling us what we should think, or "prove" that they were correct about Clinton and George W even though their reporting has been APPALLING? I mean, seriously, do they have polling data that says that the majority of Americans think the Clinton years were bad?

Seriously -- how many miles do you have to have your head up your ass to think there is even a snowball's chance of lasting in hell that George W will MIRACULOUSLY go down in history as "great"?

Reminds me of Pravda in the days of the Soviet Union.

(BTW -- yes, I have known all along what lying whores they are, but I AM continually amazed at how scarlet these hussies are.)

BTW -- my focus groups tell me they know they are being lied to not only by the administration but the press as well. The idea that George W is anything more magnificent than any amoeba that could have oozed into the Oval Office jumped the shark about 5 months ago.

1. I saw a few minutes of it
I saw a few minutes of it while I was waiting for dinner. Of course the downplayed Clinton. :eyes: Why am I not surprised? He'll always be a great president though and W will always be a bozo. Did you hear the part where he (Bush) said he had to go the ballot and make sure his name was on there? What a jerk. Then when they showed about Florida I got so pissed off I couldn't stay in the room anymore.

Are you serious about them having a bit about FL? I stopped watching after the first hour.

I have my informed friends, and I have my uninformed friends. I pay special attention to the uninformed friends, because I get a better idea about how the average American, who can't be bothered following this shit closely, thinks.

Mind you, I don't prompt anyone, but I have casual observers say to me -- "Is this shit as goofy as I think it is?" I mean, they are really puzzled by it. I think the Blitzers of the world can only hope to hang on by HOPING casual observers will consume their absurdity as fact. It's like a cult -- they have all bought SO DEEPLY into this that they MUST keep spinning in order to survive, because they have utterly lost all credibility.

I also talk to Republicans. Lifelong Republicans. They hate Bush TOO! They voted against him. With blazing eyes and flaring nostrils, they denounce him.
They hate Bush, but they also single out Condi as utterly bizarre and ridiculous.

Truly -- it's only an extremist minority that likes this jerk at all -- and even they're coming apart because George W isn't nuts enough for them....

14. Yes they showed Florida
But it was really downplayed. They didn't tell how afterwards they went back and counted and each time Al Gore won. They showed that clip of Harris saying democracy worked and God bless America and that bullshit. I agree with it being like a cult. I don't remember CNN being this bad with propoganda, but maybe I never noticed it before. I never watched Fox (except for the Simpsons) so didn't know about them. I'm glad to hear about those republicans you know. Always nice to hear.

10. That is the inevitable conclusion
They are telling us what to think. They're not getting it wrong, they're not lazy, they are not stupid -- they're telling us what to think.

For severals years I have been asking the question -- "Are they really this incompetent, or are things going exactly according to plan?"

3. CNN should bounce him
He can always get a job at FoxNews. He's been auditioning long enough.

15. Sadly CNN is building Blitzer up even larger
It seems like he's the only "name" anchor that CNN has now. TVNewser says he's going to be anchoring some political show later this summer, so I assume that means yet another hour or so of Wolf every weekday.

4. since the networkds are not listening to OUR voices (have many of us have
written untold number of letters to blitzer, judy woof-woofjust to be ignored...

do ratings speak for us? will the networks start to listen if leslie wolfmanized blitzer's ratings start to tank? don't turn on any of his freaking shows--which at this time he seems to be the male version of tokyo rose on CCN--almost all blitzer, almost all of the afternoon and evening time--

turn off the t.v. read a book. mow the grass. blow snow out of the sidewalk. cook supper. do anything but do not turn on the leslie wolfmanized blitzer shows. let his ratings tank. let us see what happens--dish out corporatims language if that is the only thing they seem to hear, understand, and decode.

5. That's what I do
I only saw it was on because my dad was flipping around and saw some of it so I was down here. I don't bother with the "news" networks anymore. Heh. Oh and it's kinda hard to blow snow now days. ;) Unless you live in Alaska or something of course.

8. Thanks, but...
Thank you for the good advice -- but I only watch in order to monitor the message of the Evil Empire, in the same manner that I used to monitor "news" from the Soviet Union and studied popular culture of the Nazi era. I watch it to see what corporate America wants us to think. It is not my source of information.

Mowing the lawn, or cooking dinner etc, don't quite wipe out the propaganda. MSM do not cause me personal psychic distress, only awareness of the popular culture and mass persuasion of our time. :hi:

11. I do
I read widely.

I contrast what I have access to with what "talking points" are presented in MSM, with special interest to what they bother to cover, and what they avoid mentioning.

Thanks for your concern over my mental health and intellectual hygiene, but analyzing MSM and decoding it is something I do. It's not fun. I do not laugh, even though there is such absurdity. Maybe you're too young to remember the delightful fruitful field of "Kremlinology" -- but this is what I do. :hi:

12. to "monitor" the enemy[bushes], i now read the news in the internet...
i can "think" through it if I read it--rather than react to it in a fireball of emotion if i listen to it...and sometimes even reading the news my reactivity comes out...but we each have to do, what we each have to do and we each have to figure out what the enemy are doing, or saying, and we have to figure it out by taking in the news through the medium that most directly speaks to our hears and minds... so, if listening to the t.v. is what you have to do, then more power to you! I have to find peace of mind far away from the t.v. so i can then come to the internet and read the news. but a toast to eaach and everyone of us as we find our own ways of saying NO to the bush agenda!

13. Have to admit
I had CNN on this A.M. when Blitzer started the intro to his Late Edition with Wolf program, 9:00 A.M. PT. Paraphrasing that intro: "Deep Throat, Hero or Traitor? Here to comment, blah, blah, blah, and Charles Colsen."

Soon as I heard the name Charles Colsen, I knew where Wolf would be taking this interview during another of his shameless ratings quests.

Although I am a somewhat powerless liberal, I too have a special assistant to filter the news and commentary I receive, just like Chimpy has Andrew Card. While my special assistant is not my Chief of Staff (except on lonely camping trips), he is just as effective at filtering the dogma from my perview as Andy Card is for Bush.

My special assistant is known as Right Thumb (a distant relative of Deep Throat, but still DNA connected)and he works, except on lonely camping trips, for my Department of T.V. Remote Control. Click and I was off to the Food Network to digest something much more palatable than Wolf Blitzer kissing ex-felon, Charles Colsen's ass.

Hey, Wolfie... get a clue. No one gives a tinker's damn what the convicted felon has to say about the cop who got him busted.

Meanwhile, over on the Food Network, Rachel Ray is showing all of America how to tease a masterpiece from some limp linguine... and in less than thirty minutes.

Now THAT'S my kind of "breaking news".

16. Blitzer is a fucking scumbag
His voice makes me cringe, his little 'shots' at people make me think very bad things. :)
