Are batons just portable baseball bats? |
As you know, batons have increased in use dramatically with law enforcement. They carry extremely high poundage, 5. They've been used on CHILDREN, not by cops, and adults. Sometimes it causes CRACKED SKULLS, sometimes DEATH. Batoneres should ether be downsized. If you have any questions about the effect of ether, read a science book. PERIOD. They cause WAY too much damage for their own good, not to mention the BLOOD.

2. training and outlook are all.... |
....a cop who will carry one should be extensively trained in its use, its capabilities and the dangers of misues. ....Also, it's got to be in the hands of a cop ABSOULUTELY committed to following the SUPPOSED rule of all police departments: you use ONLY the minimum amount of force needed to subdue or get compliance from an unruly suspect who won't submit to arrest. ....having said that, it probably can be WORSE than a baseball bat in the hands of somebody poorly trained, or a cop just out to do damage or assert his fragile masculinity...
