Graduation time; reflections and musings

Graduation time is upon us. The Bush twins have been out of school for a year -- and neither one is employed. Doesn't that speak volumes?
Perhaps we need another tax cut for the upper tax brackets to spur the economy. What a flipping joke! I can't believe how many people buy into that garbage. For the economy to prosper, you need to balance the ability for businesses to make a profit with the ability for people to spend. We are so tilted over-the-top toward businesses that it isn't even funny. Our purchasing power is crippled. In the meantime, these same businesses have stopped being good US citizens. They move their businesses offshore to avoid paying taxes, they don't provide health care for their workforce, and they give minimally back to their communities (when a marketing opportunity presents itself). Their only commitment appears to be to the bottom-line. How can we educate people and change this culture?
