On reusable bumpersticker holders and spreading news that MSM won't
I have been thinking about threads here discussing how to spread information that the MSM won't touch like the Downing Street documents. There have been suggestions about bumper stickers but there is so many things coming out so quickly so what is one to do to keep up, especially when one has limited $? Well I searched and found a reusable bumper sticker holder that is attached with suction cups. You can replace real bumper stickers at will or create your own on the computer or write them out by hand. I found the holder at the NOW website for $3 though surely there are sold elsewhere - see here:
http://www.now.org/cgi-bin/store/MS-CAD.html?id=I4tW7p69

There are many creative people here. If this catches on would some volunteer to create breaking news and issue bumper stickers folks can simply print them out and load their bumper sticker holders? Can you imagine the effect if just a fraction of us here put DowningStreetMemo.com on our vehicles? I sure would like to find out how much of a stir it would cause!

2. Thanks Shallah! That is a fantastic idea!
I usually tape messages and stickers inside the back window of my truck's camper top. For work reasons, I can't always have political stickers on my vehicle. I need to be able to remove them easily!

3. Magnetic Sheeting
Edited on Mon Jun-06-05 10:07 AM by CanOfWhoopAss
I use magnetic sheeting. You can get it fairly cheaply at Hobby Lobby or other craft stores ($12 for 12" by 24"). It sticks in all types of weather and you can take it on an off as often as you like. You can buy different sized sheets for different size messages.

It doesn't damage your car at all and when a sticker needs replacing you just put another sticker over the old sticker. Only bad thing is if you park in a hostile environment you have to remove the magnet and stick it in your trunk. "Kids" like to pull the sticker off your car and place it on someone else's car or throw it on the ground.

You an also get it from Office Max or Office Depot but it's a rip off ($30) at office supply stores and according to buyblue.org and choosetheblue.com I don't think blue patrons are supposed to shop there.

Also can be found here:

or google it

4. I'm going back to old-fashioned stick-on bumperstickers.
It sounds like a good idea, but I've never been able to keep a magnetic bumper sticker on my car. Once people find out that something can be removed easily, it's all over.

5. I've had pretty good luck so far.

I work in Repuke dominated, Cobb County GA, of Bob Barr impeach Clinton fame. Usually if they can't get it off they'll pocket knife or key the crap out of the stick-ons. They haven't taken my magnetic one but I do take it off and throw it in the trunk when in a hostile and unattended parking lot.

6. Thanks for the link Shallah
The holder is a great idea and I love some of the stickers. I'll definitely be doing some shopping there!
