Tim Russert turns his sharp teeth on Ken Mehlman
Edited on Mon Jun-06-05 01:26 PM by BurtWorm
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8062380/

MR. RUSSERT: What do you think of Howard Dean?

MR. MEHLMAN: I have met Howard Dean. We had a meeting. We appeared together before an APAC conference. I called him to congratulate him on his election. I think he'll be a strong chairman. He arouses a lot of the passion on the Democratic Party throughout their base, and he ran a good campaign in 2004 with not a lot of money, attracted a lot of support.

MR. RUSSERT: He said the other day that a lot of Republicans have never earned an honest day's living.

MR. MEHLMAN: I'm not sure of the best way to win support in the red states is to insult the folks who live there. I think that a better approach might be to talk about the issues you're for.

1. Yeah, I saw the interview.
Not one of Russert's best. He had a lot of opportunities to hold Mehlman to the fire, but he let them pass. He did ask a few tough questions, but he gave up a lot of easy answers.

5. Tim Russert is a GOP stooge that only lofts softballs to Repugs
Edited on Mon Jun-06-05 01:32 PM by Julius Civitatus
in his show.

I saw his interview to Dean a couple of weeks ago and he was NASTY to him. The interview to Mehlman was nothing short of a BJ.

Sharp teeth? Yeah, right! Is this and example of "sharp teeth"?

"Howard Dean is such a bully, look what mean things he says about Republicans. Your thoughts?"

Some sharp teeth indeed!

14. I know. I'm just dislike Russert and feel it needs to be pointed over and
over again.

The guy is only "tough" on Democrats, and consistently gives an easy pass to every GOP representative they send his way. It's so obvious it's ridiculous. Why they still treat this prick as the "authority" in political interviews is beyond me.

21. I was pointing out the obvious, huh!?
:P

This is who we should be picketing and protesting ..the corporate media..GE, cnn, disney..it's got to blown wide open.

There are a lot of Americans who see right through the fascistmedia but if we were able to protest on massive scales, it might open some much needed eyes.

They treat "this prick" as "the authority" because what they say goes..or so they have always gotten away with.

6. Attention Mr. Mehlman....
Howard Dean did not insult me or my red state with a Democratic Governor. I find it very refreshing to finally see a Democrat call a spade a spade, and informing the people that Republicans only want to get richer by riding the backs of hard working people struggling to get by.

I should've realized long ago that they have no ability whatsoever to think for themselves, I suppose. For some reason I keep hoping some of them still think for themselves from time to time.

17. "Rush said the other day that most Democrat voters don't work."
See, if Timmah wasn't such an RNC tool, he'd ask a question like that to his fellow Republimaton Mehlman. But hey, far be it from me to suggest anything but gladhanding dialogue theater to insult the intelligence. It's all GOP, cigars, golf and country clubs with these cohesive fatboys.

They need a DEAN WATCH segment. They seem to be very enamored with his alpha male persona.

24. Cokie Roberts said the very same thing this morning on NPR!
"I'm not sure of the best way to win support in the red states is to insult the folks who live there. I think that a better approach might be to talk about the issues you're for."

Must be the new Rethug talking point. I wonder how soon before we hear it on Oxycontin Boy, Hannity, etc.
