No, Mr Biden, it's YOU that doesn't represent US |
|
I am reminded of the maddening things that we can depend on Senator Biden (D-MBNA) to say and do. He needs to worry less about what Howard Dean is doing and more about what his constituents want and need.
"I like you, you're the real deal"--- Joe to Alberto "Torture is kewl" Gonzalez at his confirmation hearings.
"I don't know anybody who's announced they're against your being the next attorney general." --- See above.
"Get over it"- To Europe, after the re-selection, saying that Europe has to get in line behind our dear Leader
"It took a big man to do that, and I plan to support him". After falling hook, line and sinker for * WMD lies
"....I'm glad we have a man of your caliber who is ready to take on this daunting task." to Neocon pointman John Negroponte at his confirmation hearing to be ambassador of Iraq.

1. Biden Needs to Think Like a Republican... |
|
...and show some solidarity rather than criticizing Dean right now. The good doctor may not be showing tact but he is at least showing bite, sound and otherwise. We sorely need more of that to break through the evening news clutter.

2. Today, Biden demanded that GITMO be taken down. |

Those who attack him on this day that he advocates the destruction of a psyops hell-hole draw my suspicion.

Biden lost whatever respect I had remaining for him with the bankruptcy vote, excuses be damned. A plagiarist in the corporate pocket who publicly badmouths the leader of his party.

4. First of all, hit alert if you have a problem |
|
Second of all, what will he DO about it. See, the Citibank Senator talks tough, but then goes right along with the Republicans.

6. Today, Biden advocated that a psyop torture chamber be torn down. |
|
Today, I support what he advocates this day.
I will not engage in a character assasination on this day. I refuse to diminish a man who demands that a US torture chamber be destroyed on the day he advocates it.

Well, that is your right as a citizen. Mine is to criticize him. I agree with him regarding Gitmo. I don't about Dean. Even a broken clock is right twice a day :-)

12. I have no evidence other than my own two eyes, but: |

I think this was all a set up. I think Biden and Dean set the media up, just to get some visibility for the Dems.
I saw Biden say what he did on TV and he didn't look mad at all--he looked happy. I've seen him mad at other times, and he wasn't on Sunday's program. It looked like he was thinking, "...and now I say this...". The deal is that Dean gets to be the bad boy and say something outrageous and get the Dems a few headlines and soundbites. Then Biden or someone else will make a statement balancing it out for "damage control". Might take the right off their guard, thinking that Dean is careening out of control like a lunatic.
Makes sense to me!

14. Of course, Biden could get headlines |

by pushing the DSM, but that's ok, there are still a few Democrats left that he can attack.

...probably pretty close to the truth. They need to be careful how that strategy is utilized though. It can blow up in their faces pretty easily.
