Facing Recruiting Crisis, Military Lowers Its Standards
I apologize if this has been posted before.

Link: http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1499164,00.html

The US military has stopped battalion commanders from dismissing new recruits for drug abuse, alcohol, poor fitness and pregnancy in an attempt to halt the rising attrition rate in an army under growing strain as a result of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

An internal memo sent to senior commanders said the growing dropout rate was "a matter of great concern" in an army at war. It told officers: "We need your concerted effort to reverse the negative trend. By reducing attrition 1%, we can save up to 3,000 initial-term soldiers. That's 3,000 more soldiers in our formations."

2. Because conservatives are chickenshits
who will not enlist and do the patriotic thing, the Army is looking more and more conservative every day. Overweight drug abusers who can't do their job. Rather limbaughesgue wouldn't you say? The only thing rush knows how to do is hate other human beings, he has been a failure at every other endeavor.

Thankyou conservatives for supporting a war you choose not to fight and in turn are fucking our Army recruiters and field commanders.

It must really suck being a conservative today.

Thanks for posting.

3. And what happens when we run low on second - rate enlistees ?
a Bush Youth Korps ? a Neocon Volksstrum ? Press gangs ? or, ( dare I say it ?),
a draft ? I am glad I am already a veteran from decades past. I feel for anyone signing up now.

I think the Chimp administration has almost run the All Volunteer into the ground... maybe a little bit further at that. Since this gang will exploit whom ever they get their hands on to continue this war for oil, the Army is a tough sell.

4. Nah
You can't have a draft because Bush said there will be no draft! Say you're wrong because Bush is always right!!

:sarcasm:

5. Just wait for the first miscarriages to occur in boot camp
If that doesn't get those fetus fetishists scratching the points on their heads, nothing will.

Abortion by boot camp!

I'll be waiting for the liberal media to jump on that one.
