Edited on Mon Jun-06-05 07:46 PM by ooglymoogly
music to my ears. it was on c-span senate news conference...the press egging him on clearly hoping he would pile on the criticizing of howard dean calling the pugs mean and evil slugs. he said dripping with sarcasm something like and i paraphraze...look i'll leave you all to spin your stories on that...i am interested in important issues that are important to this country. ouch....i love this guy more every time i see him....give em hell harry

12. I'm glad that it can be said again.
I sent him an email of support after reading this to let him know that we're proud of him.

I also sent one off to Senator Kerry commending him for his words last week on the Downing Street Minutes.

3. The art of deflection!
Why can't our side learn it, as Harry apparently did? It's so much more effective than letting oneself get caught up in explanations and/or rationalizations. And it's a heck of a lot better than piling on your fellow Dems. Watch and learn, Biden and whoever. That's how you treat stupid questions: you deflect them. Amd you do it in a lighthearted way that doesn't make you look defensive.

5. I heard he has an awesome interview in Rolling Stone.
A couple of the excerpts I saw were brutal. Straight up called Bush a liar. The interviewer said something like, "You had to apologize for calling Bush a loser, didn't you?" and he responded, "But you didn't see me apologizing for anything else, did you?" Something like that.

7. That was beautifully and professionally done, Senator Reid!
:toast: His comments won't be replayed ad nauseum over the airwaves because he took a great swipe at the press spin. Well Done!

8. Perfect
Don't even dignify stupid "liberal media" questions like that with any sort of explanation. There is no need. His answer was done to perfection.

10. Note to Edwards
This is how it's done! There is no need to let the Bush poodle press lead you down a path of their choosing.
