Daily snapshot of the greatest page

Here is the link to the greatest page- http://tinyurl.com/a4hmb - here at DU. I think this is a wonderful feature that eventually will be copied by other websites. It has a way of letting the cream rise to the top.

Thinking in terms of the archive value, maybe even decades from now, wouldn't it be nice to see the greatest threads of a given day. Since the greatest threads only stay up 24 hours a snapshot at the same time every day would record them all. A snapshot at midnight could provide a unique record of the best threads of the day.

And as a side question, is there a way to read comments by individual users here at DU?

Use the search function, type in a user name, and select the "Author" option. I think you have to be a donating member to use the function.

2. You can do that simply by going to...

... the advanced search page and selecting the forum (in this case, greatest page), selecting for search option "author" instead of subject and message and plugging in the screen name, and the date range.
