1. The Bush administration regards Germany and France as "old Europe,"
and it evidently considers 'ethics' as "old and obscure" as well.

Kerry is among several Democrats challenging the ethical disaster visited upon our country by the Bush administration.

More power to him.

2. But he does sometimes have an open mind and thinks.
I never thought Bush was stupid and have said that over and over but he is like so many rulers. And you can go back in history and look at them. They seem to feel they are right about every thing and have a very narrow range in their out look. It is shown so well when Bush's father said he did not know of any one out of a job or some such thing. Like the last Czar of Russia who seemed a kind hearted man with his own family but did not seem to understand what was going on in the whole country. The ave, income in this country is about 30,000 plus a little and I do not think Bush understands that at all. Congressmen who retire at more than than, thanks to us tax payers, hardly know it. That is where things should changed.

3. They hate Kerry when he's intellectual, and hate him when he's average.
Why bother trying, at that point? That's the thing. No matter what the left looks like, they will demonize it. So we might as well be whoever the hell we are, so we can at least seem genuine in our roles.

5. Well, they really don't have any good spin to put on it
So of course they will go for cheap & ridiculous remarks.

But I think that Kerry is prepared for this, and I think that this is why he will bring it up when debating the Bolton nomination. Bringing the DSM onto the floor of the Senate in this manner gives it contextual relevance, and makes it so that the rethugs must respond, or be slammed. :7
