This is sad...we're still being pummeled by the freeps
After a little headway, we've gotten trounced again. We're being freeped! There is NO REASON, with Bush's 40-ish approval rating, that the top four ads on this top site should be anti-America Bushista ads!

Again, you don't have to vote for ME, but please, RATE DOWN the freep ads (by clicking the t-shirt/star scale) and VOTE UP any and all lib ads! Thousands of views a day on this, and all the above-the-fold ads are anti-American! Come on DU! We can do better!

Don't forget the star ratings!

1. Can someone explain to me why...
Can someone explain to me why anyone should care about rankings at a site called t-shirtcountdown.com?

Surely we all have better things to do. Like forwarding Conyers letter. Or calling our elected representatives on any of a myriad of issues.

Or even gazing reflectively at our navels.

4. Hi, welcome to DU, CTD
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 11:07 AM by Atman
The answer is simple...this site gets a sh!tload of traffic, a huge part of it not even political. Think of these ads as billboards for our party, our cause. Now look at that front page. Any of the tens of thousands of visitors who stumble upon (or deliberately visit) this site, are greeted to "PISS ON LIBERALS" and "SLAPPING THE LEFT INTO SUBMISSION," etc. Will it change the world to vote up a Liberal ad? Hell no. But it's all about marketing a message. The message conveyed to the tens of thousands of TSC visitors right now is the left are losers.

You don't have to waste the precious ten seconds out of your day. But you could. I don't see this as any different than posting a link to a poll on MSNBC or whatever, which goes on here all the time. TSC probably has a bigger audience, even.

Again, welcome to DU. Glad to see you're starting out on a positive note!

9. I agree...
atman's right though there is no reason not to do this even if it is only seen by 5 people it's worth not giving the repugs any free press and it takes all of 1 min.

The voting for favorites looks freeped for sure.

6. Oh the agony, while Bush poll numbers take a dive
We're being "pummeled" on a T-shirt web site. Oh, the pain. I can't take it any more. Forgive me fellow DUer's I must return to my closet of regret and depression.

This moment of reciprocal spam soaked drama inspired by by this thread was brought to you by ...

What b.s.

Spam-soaked drama, my arse. Who am I spamming for, the 24 other shirts listed? I didn't provide any link to MY site (except my ever-present sig). I've been a front-page contributor to DU, and a long-time member. What is the point of your post? That we should all start infighting? Hell, I specifically suggested voting for ANYONE liberal, not me. What is the problem with supporting ANY fellow liberal's efforts to change the mess in Washington?

11. He does have a point though.
You do have the power of setting limits, establishing rules that screen out the monsters.

Why not use that power?

Jus' sayin',...ya' know.

12. Actually, no, I don't know
I'm not sure what you are saying. Joe was accusing me of just being a spammer, not much more. What "limits" can I set? What "power" are you speaking of?

10. The battle is on
We're now see-sawing a bit...apparently the freepers are doing the same thing, voting for the anti-American stuff. If you haven't done so yet, cast a vote, please! Using this link, it won't take more than 5-10 seconds! If nothing else, it's turned into an interesting horse race!

13. Atman's right. Never overlook *any* opportunity for activism!!!!
Whatever it is: LTTEs, e-mails to congress-critters, online polls, whatever -- never overlook any chance to take the cause forward.

The right wing sure doesn't sleep on these things. They are relentless; they keep pushing, anywhere and everywhere. We have got to be even *more* resolute if we're ever going to come out on top.
