That's how dems go to battle. While pubs use the effective tools of lying, intimidation, murder, and distortion, we remain committed to truth, fairness, and compassion - a losing strategy.
So I say, let's continue to lose, and maintain our integrity. I'd rather be a honest loser than a corrupt winner anyway.

2. I'd argue that we can maintain our integrity AND wield truth aggressively |

That's the part I don't get: When did it become "bad manners" to call a liar a liar, a crook a crook?

3. Sad truth about public office |

What you have to do to get there is dispicable....but you can't do all the "good" things you want unless you win first. As long as the other side is willing to play dirty, you have no other choices.
or, as Thomas Jefferson put it:
"By the time a man has done all that is necessary to attain public office, he is no longer worthy of it."
