"Richardson distances self from Dean: He is not our spokesman."
Well, he speaks for me!

===

BEDFORD, N.H. - Howard Dean is not the Democratic Party's spokesman, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, the latest party leader to distance himself from the outspoken chairman, said Tuesday.

I believe Governor Dean is a good chairman. He's doing a good job," Richardson, the head of the Democratic Governors' Association, told reporters at the start of a two-day visit to New Hampshire. "He's not the spokesman for the party. It's governors, it's senators, it's party leaders."

Last weekend, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., and 2004 vice presidential candidate John Edwards criticized Dean for his recent remarks.

Dean told a group of progressives that Republicans "never made an honest living in their lives," a comment he was forced to explain a day later. The one-time presidential candidate also said House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas, who has not been accused of any crime, ought to go back to Houston where he can serve his jail sentence.

10. They are scared shitless of Dean's popularity! They're trying to put him
in his place. He's raised more $ in the same period of time than any other Dem chairman. The state & local party leaders love him. Look at this sleazebag Richardson now, trying to differentiate who holds the reins of the party--which of course includes his own precious self.

That's fine with me. Whoever slurs Dean, I'll remember when the time comes. Fucking party fatcats, wanting to cozy up to the fucking corporate fatcat money. Richardson is trying to position himself for a national slot. I'll remember, you slimebucket.

That's what I think too, every time his name comes up. What kind of "Democrat" helps Republicans steal an election?

Howard Dean speaks for me. Bill Richardson DOES NOT!

17. In case you didn't know.....
It's supposed to be Clinton/Richardson in '08. That was established prior to the 2004 election.

Don't ask me how I know.....I can't reveal my sources. Just watch and see!

Personally, that's a ticket with way too much baggage. But maybe that's just me.

Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton....that what America needs!

He sided with the slave-labor republicans on NAFTA, GATT, WTO, and just about any other "kill the jobs and the unions to make the rich richer" legislation that came down the pike.

25. He's right
the democrats have become a bunch of spineless ass kissing hypocrits. They are so afraid to get pissed off and stir the pot that they attack someone that does. Dean is not my favorite person but any criticism thrown out those bastard repukes who are shitting all over our constitution and ruining the is country is ok with me. For any of them to publicly criticize him the way they are is a bunch of shit. I am so sick of the being nice crap I could scream.

Until they decide to strap on their balls and get down and dirty and fight for this country I will have to agree that these wimpy statements are indeed true.

29. as someone who shuddered at the thought of Dean as chairman
on here when the nomination is going down, the idea that as with his presidential run, you would have to hold your breath and cringe every time he opened his mouth has born into reality. The guy is a nightmare and has refocused the Democratic party on his verbal fuck-ups, not a reasoned spokesman exploiting the many shortcomings of Bushco.

The only reason I suspect there wasn't a serious effort to kill his DNC run was that once he was named, he inevitably begin making tactically idiotic remarks and embarrass himself as chairman, making it easy to eventually force him to step down and eliminate any of his hopes for an '08 run.

They'll vote us in if only we learn not to rock the boat with any statements that get people's attention or help differentiate Dems from Repukes. Where, oh where, is Tom Daschle when we need his sure footed leadership? :sarcasm:

31. Is it me or is Dean kind of dumb?
Sure the media responded to the red meat about some Republicans never making an honest living. Of course they did. And where was Dean with the judo when they came after him?

If Dean is going to be throwing bombs (and I like that he does it), then he needs to be ready with a second, third, and fourth bomb...like Reid or even H. Clinton.

Dean should have come back with a damning non-apology like "Well, I'm not talking about all Republicans never earning their way. I'm talking about ones like George W. Bush."

The media would have an orgasm.
