If N Korea nukes the US West coast...
and * responds, will other nations then follow in pursuit?

And why is N Korea playing along with this "let's come back to the talks" routine? N Korea has already parroted *'s drivel about pre-emptive strikes.

1. Every great world war
started with the aggressor pretending to give a crap about talks and going to peace talks (only to be preparing all the while to go to fullscale war).

I will bet my life that N. Korea kicks a missile out to start some noise before the summer is out, and a US navy ship goes down... this is my prediction and you can hold me to it...

N. Korea is sick of the US but secretly thanks them for making pre-emptive strikes socially acceptable....

I can't wait to see the navy recoil when they realize all their boats are in the middle east and now they need them in the china sea...

I am buying popcorn and beer for this fun event.....

Though I'm sure Boosh** would be all to happy to see all these blue
states get destroyed by :nuke::nuke:

Then the Repubs never need to worry about losing another election.
There won't be enough Democrats left to matter anymore.

5. me too,... horse puckey
North korea has not attacked ANYONE for over half a century! What
suddenly has given the war makers ammunition to think that they're
about to right now... bollocks.

North korea rattles sabres. It is not insane, however, and unlike
the BFEE, it has common sense about starting wars.

As well, a shooting war on the korean peninsula would kill 10's of
millions of people in korea alone, let alone associated escalation
with china and the US mainland... it is a non-starter...
and whomever suggests it is full of right wing bull crap, and
not a drop of truth.

2. Don't buy the neocom crap.
The most likely route for a Korean warhead is by far using a shipping container and a freighter.... That there Pacific puddle is a bit bigger than it looks on your inflatable globe...

If North Korea were to nuke the west coast (a very unlikely scenario to say the least), no nation would stand by it.

They may not feel any sympathy for this country though. That's a whole other matter, but I don't see Russia or China having any interest in jumping in bed with NK. As it is NK is very isolated. OTOH, we could see China exploiting the situation and find a way to make a move on Taiwan while the US is distracted.

NK does have some ballistic missile capability but I don't think it is nearly long enough to send one to the west coast. Plus, I would guess that any missile launched would be immediately tracked and likely destroyed, using a system similar to the Israeli Arrow system.

As another posted noted, it's more likely a nuke would be smuggled here by freighter. After all, we know that Bush really hasn't secured docks and shipping. Also we know that the NKeans got help building their nukes from Pakistan. This administration did nothing about AQ Khan's "Nukes 'R Us".
