Which Democrat Will Be the First to Publicly Call for Impeaching Bush? |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 09:14 PM by David Zephyr
Certainly there are documented high crimes and misdemeanors that exceed receiving oral sex in the Oval Office.
Isn't it about time that one...just one Democrat in either the House or Senate call a press conference and call for the impeachment of this President?
Which Congressional Democrat (House or Senate) could do it? Which would do it?
Personally, I think it might be Henry Waxman.
Anyway, what time is it? It's Impeachment Time!

2. Conyers certainly has the biggest juevos with regard to Bush's crimes. |
|
I don't know if he's called for impeaching Bush though.

10. Isn't it interesting how wingnuts can't defend * ? They always |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 09:33 PM by Ladyhawk
have to change the subject to disparaging the clenis or some other dem? They can't stay on the subject at hand. What's laughable is I don't even much care for Clinton or Kerry, yet a lot of times when I make a remark about * being an asswipe, some stupid wingnut has to take a stab at Clinton or Kerry...like I really care. :eyes: If it's a lie, I guess I care, but otherwise...meh.
Ladyhawk does not walk in lock-step.

17. Love Bush? Support the illegal War? then go sign-up, moran. |
|
My impression of Bush supporters: (1) they are clueless about what a true conservative is, and that Bush is not conservative, except in certain social hot button issues. (2) they talk a good game but are poor at following through: i.e. why aren't you in uniform fighting in Iraq, if you support Bush so much? (3) they are truly ignorant on neo-conservatism, on how fascist our nation is becoming under Bush, etc., all because they are too damn stupid to turn off the radio and start thinking for themselves. You need people like coke-head Rush telling you how to think, while he laughs all the way to the bank.

20. I was as surprised as you were, frankly. |

Guess Kerry partied as hearty as George did back then.
Of course, the difference is, Kerry grew up after college and George, well, we can see the long term effects of boozing and 8-balling have on the brain over a 30 year period.
Next time the Alpha Monkey strings a coherent sentence together, be a good beta-monkey and come back to tell us, OK?

11. If I were a member of the Democratic Party... |
|
It'd be me.
I'd go out right now and scream, "IMPEACH BUSH NOW!" Then I'd go back inside, because this is Canada and even in the summertime the evening can be cold and I'm wearing shorts.

I am a Canadian citizen too--sometimes it makes me feel really left out that I can't vote--because for some reason I am fascinated by US politics.
Kind of sad really....

13. No one will move to impeach bush |
|
Look the guy is an idiot and evil The challenge is that he never lied under oath..
It will look like nothing more than political payback for impeaching clinton and will fail on the question of a named crime.
My take: it only serves to rally the GOP base, and like it or not...it damages the value of impeachment and will be though of as unpatriotic in a time of war.
Criticize him. Make him the posterboy in the the midterms. Villify him every chance you get. but DOn't impeach him beacuse you won't win.
But prosecute him after he is out of office.

22. John Edwards, because |
|
He can say it without it affecting any office he holds, and it will have some credibility without it looking like some form of payback. If Gore did it, it would look like payback. If Dean does it, it will add to his loose cannon image, and that would weaken both Dean and the impeachment movement.
Edwards is outspoken, and out of office. He can be a "voice of conscience" now. He is also somewhat respected.
That's assuming the whole thing is scripted, as these things always are. If someone goes against the script, I'd put my money on Charles Rangel.
Sure do miss Henry B Gonzales, who called for the elder Bush's impeachment. Reagan's, too, I think.
