Quote On Iraq From Dep Secretary of State Armitage---- Good!
"I'm disappointed that Iraq hasn't turned out better. And that we weren't able to move forward more meaningfully in the Middle East peace process. <...> The biggest regret is that we didn't stop 9/11. And then in the wake of 9/11, instead of redoubling what is our traditional export of hope and optimism we exported our fear and our anger. And presented a very intense and angry face to the world."

-- Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage

The woman always looks as if she has just sucked on the most sour of lemons... Take that as you will, DUers.

8. The original story was in The Australian, back in January.
It's off the paper's server, now, but the full text of the article can be found here:

Evidently, it never got picked up by the American corporate media. Quelle surprise.

5. Well said. What USA exported was the fear of change and of not
being the top dogs. Everyone else in the world has to deal with that. Adults take the truth as it presents itself.

Good people, the vast majority, will gravitate towards responsible soft power in the end. The Rovbots, and their vain & megalomaniacs attempts to remake the world in their adolescent image, will fail.

Don't loose hope!
