Since when did it become extreme to insist on getting all the |

information about a person's background (Bolton) before voting on them? This is what got Congress into trouble in the first place. The "tardiness" and sometimes total lack of providing text of bills by the White House to Congress before they voted on the bill in question is what Bush depends upon to run all these bad policies past us.
When it comes to the Bolton nomination, the White House is simply "tweaking" their tactics. If Congress votes without getting all the information, they will have sidelined themselves yet again into the position of being an ineffective, overpaid, rubberstamp.

Because it works for them to just deny access to the information that might damn them. Until the American public wakes up and says enough, they will keep withholding information or refusing to talk about subjects that are controversial.
