1. He needs to hold his shoulders out to hold his head up |
|
otherwise his head would flip flop from shoulder to shoulder as he babbled.

I forget which writer it was, but he described it as looking as though Bush was trying to dry his deodorant when he walks.
I agree, it looks ridiculous. He must think it makes him look like a big manly-man, along with his cowpoke walk.

Seriously, I read about this once (can't remember where). Image is extremely important to *. The way he walks has been practiced and practiced, perfected over the years to emulate the cowboy image created by Rove. Ironic the idiot's afraid of horses.

The first time I saw it, I was reminded of elementary school bullies on the playground during recess. We learned to watch kids that walked like that.

19. And the reason bullies do it can be seen in the animal kingdom. |
|
Watch dogs, for instance, circling each other to establish dominance - - or in a worst case, fight. They throw their ears back and raise their tails high. Why? So the other dog can smell the dog's glandular secretions; as in "I'm more manly (dogly?) than you are."
So where are people's odor glands located? In the armpits, of course. The reason schoolyard bullies throw their arms out is so that, unconsciously, the other guys can tell how tough they are.
I don't even want to speculate if that's the reason bush walks so bowlegged.
I mean, blechhhhh!

.... by bodybuilders to describe someone who holds his arms out like he has developed lats but said lats are nowhere to be seen.
It's a more pathetic form of macho posturing.
