Someone in my office is really into Astrology. Not my bag, but hey, to each their own, right? Well, for some reason, she's started to really be a pain in the ass about it. She's been doing charts for folks in the office, which is fine, but she's kind of aggressive about it, which is making some folks in the office uncomfortable, which is not fine. For instance, she got into an argument yesterday afternoon after an employee told her that his religion forbid Astrology (she offered to do a chart for his new baby daughter and got quite offended when he refused).

This AM, I talked to the Astrologer and asked her to please recognize and respect that other people might be made uncomfortable by her Astrological activity. She said, "When is your birthday?" and I looked at her and said, "That has nothing to do with this," and she said, "That's just what I'd expect an Aries to say. I'll bet your birthday is in April, right?" Yikes. I told her that she needed to focus more on work, lay off a bit on the Astrology, and take "No thank-you" for an answer when an employee doesn't wish to get involved. She said she understood, but I guess time will tell.

Send the Evangelical Astrologers to knock on the doors of the Mormons, and the Moonies, etc. Let them all annoy each other, so the rest of us can get on with our lives.

The Mormons believe that Jesus was born April 6.

But in response to your post, no one should push their beliefs upon anyone else, no matter what they are.
