We DU'ers need to support Howard Dean TODAY!
Edited on Wed Jun-08-05 09:54 AM by Saboburns
I've never donated money to the Democratic party, but am going to today. And I am going to include a note that I wouldn't be donating today, IF IT WERE NOT FOR HOWARD DEAN.

FINALLY a Democrat who calls the GOP on their Bullshit. You know he makes their panties wad.

Good folk, if we want to take our party back to what it could be, let's make some noise. Let's let Joe Biden know how we feel about him compared to the good Doctor. Enough of the spineless DINO's.

We have a chance to rock the boat. To establish a true opposition party.

Let's donate today, and include a letter mentioning Howard Dean.

If you're tired of the Iraq war Bullshit-Dean's the man.
If you're tired of cussing at members of YOUR OWN DAMN PARTY-Dean's the man.

Remember how much money he raised during the primaries through internet donations. You know he shook up the establishment. Don't you think, By Gawd, it's time to shake up the establishment??

Join me. Donate today. It'll make you feel better.

I promise.

3. Time To Check Your Local Party Status...or adopt one
Democrats need to be party building now and starting to network and build toward winning House, Senate and state races next year. It's time to turn the anger into action...putting the time and energy into creating a grassroots input into the party's current direction and future. There's so much to do.

Find a candidate and see how well things are going. The GOOP is extremely good at their organizing, and Democrats are far behind in many areas. We need to start focusing on building up the efforts of those trying to reach out in areas where we have chances of gaining much needed seats and to retake the House and Senate.

Cheers!

4. My thoughts exactly.
Howard Dean is the first ever candidate in my life who was able to get me to open my wallet for a political purpose.

I don't have much, but I'm going to contribute a little bit each month and, just like you, include a note. Mine will say, "Howard-powered contribution."

5. I'm getting some extra cash in next week
Am planning on sending some money in then. Promise. Will be the first time I've sent money to a Democratic party organization as oppposed to a specific candidate.

They BETTER have a comments section because I want them to know my money is coming in as a DIRECT RESULT OF THE CURRENT CHAIRMAN DR. HOWARD DEAN and his LEADERSHIP!

7. Why does someone of
people whko appear on TV, remind the questioners: It is unfair to
scream about Dean and Moneyraising. Money has been coming into
places like Move On and other 527s to fight to fight Bolton, etc.

People who may give to Dean later felt they had to fight jusges now
etc. . Look at all the money. Some people get annoyed with the
Spineless and are slower to contribute there.

You are right--everyone hko can right now--shkow Dean support.

9. I agree, Saboburns!
I was trying to work up a post that would express the frustration I have with some of our Democratic leaders when someone else in our party speaks "outside the box." The right-wing meat grinder has been set up to systematically push us closer and closer to the cliff, all the while chewing up those who stray from the herd. Democrats like Biden seem to think that we need Rebublican approval for our own damn message, and if something tweaks the right too much, we're out of line.

With all the fingers pointing at Dean right now, you know behind every accusing Democrat there's an advisor checking the polls. What better way to demonstrate our demand for strong, true leadership in the party than by sending a message with our money. When our progressive leaders see that strong words against the war, strong words against the foolish decisions in the White House and Pentagon, and strong words about getting America back into a position of moral leadership in the world are the message that also draws funding from the base, they might realize the vast, untapped resource of the party is people.

I'm donating today, and it will include a message of thanks for Dr. Dean's backbone. Most of our Democratic leaders are sorely missing theirs right now.

10. Most excellent, friend.
I'm just so damn frustrated, as well as disgusted at my country that I think I verge on depression. I wonder, doesn't anybody else hurt like I do?? Doesn't anybody else see the things I see.

And finally someone comes along, someone who talks from the heart. Someone who DOESN"T TAKE A FUCKIN POLL for every sound bite. Someone who generally calls things as he sees them.

God, what a refreshing personality.

We don't need to be republican lite. We Cannot pander to religion. The Democratic Party needs to be a grass roots-populist MOVEMENT.
Doesn't anybody else feel that the time is write for a populist movement?? Isn't it refreshing to hear someone speak from the heart?? Isn't it time for the truth??

Damn it, our message is the right message. Our platform is good for ALL AMERICANS.

But we need leaders who, if nothing else, take a stand. I think our party needs to move in the direction of Howard Dean. Both in his brutal honesty, and his connection to us humble working folk.

It's our party. We should demand better. As far as I am concerned, Conyers, Boxer, Dean, Byrd, (any other suggestions for this list??) should be the LEADING voices of OUR PARTY.
