Just viewed the Blair-Bush "answer" to the DSM. So their response is...

(paraphrasing) "That memo occurred BEFORE we went to the U.N."

That's IT? So Freakin' WHAT?

Not only does that NOT say anything about fixing facts and intelligence (to which their only answer was "no we didn't"), but the DSM explicitly says WHY they later went to the U.N.: to provide a pretext for war, hoping that Saddam would refuse.

He DIDN'T refuse, he HAD disarmed, we DIDN'T need to go to war, and the record shows that intelligence and facts WERE "fixed". Everything we know today reveals nearly every word out of Blair and Bush's mouths at that Press conference to be bald-faced LIES!

So the memo was written before they went to the U.N.? Yeah, you morons, it told us WHY you went to the U.N.!! And the answer ain't good!

Is that really the best they've got?!?

1. War criminals that should be tried , convicted and sentenced to death
Every day reveals this truth. I'd settle for impeachment though. :hi:

2. Isn't that the Problem? They put the memo at the time before they
even went to the U.N. and that proves they were planning war even before going to the U.N....They basically confirm the date of the memo, now to confirm the facts....

3. Two things were confirmed...
Edited on Wed Jun-08-05 12:01 PM by tex-wyo-dem
1.) the minutes are official (i.e. not forgeries).

2.) they were written before going to the UN meaning war was a certainty no matter what the UN said.

It's what we've been alleging all along.

A non-denial denial.

It's confirmed...we the people, congress, the UN have all been lied to.

4. Blair's response is also "my head of intelligence was lying to me"
which is a pretty strange response, when you think about it. Especially when you remember that Blair was present at the meeting, and did nothing to deny it at the time. And then his Foreign Secretary also told him war was inevitable, and Blair said nothing about that.

6. Yes, think about it. If he was AT this meeting and the characterization..
.... was so wrong, wouldn't he have more to counter it with? Wouldn't he be trotting Dearlove out to "set the record straight"? Wouldn't he be reprimanding Rycroft?

No... try to move on as fast as possible, Saddam bad man... war as a last resort...
