I just wanted to say how much I appreciate EVERYONE at DU!

Yes, some of us can be argumentative and we can be divisive at times. But, it is the diversity of ideas and opinions here at DU that make it so wonderful! I could never respect a forum where everyone is in lockstep (like that “other” site). That is not a forum, it is an echo chamber!

I love you all, even those of you I disagree with. You always present your side with logic and reasoning, not rhetoric and dogma. You all have my respect. And I have to admit that I am amazed by the plethora of talent here!

Since I started out here in the Election 2004 forum last November, of course I have to give a shout-out to the KOEB. YOU ROCK! For those of you who are unfamiliar, that’s the Keith Olbermann Estrogen Brigade. And, based on pictures they have posted, the ladies of the KOEB are HOT! Not to mention funny, intelligent, witty, and just plain delightful! :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:

I especially want to thank Skinner and all the Mods. You do a fantastic job. A job that I don’t think that I could do. Certainly not as well as you considering some of the things you’ve had to deal with.

Although, perhaps I should be condemning the Admins and Mods and all DUer’s. After all, 1000 posts PROVE that I am officially addicted. And if it weren’t for all of you, I wouldn’t be addicted!

But instead, I will thank you, each and every one, because
DU has given me HOPE for America!

Thanks! And congrats on your 1000th post. I hit mine awhile back--a great feeling! So glad to have you on our board. As you said, not a forum but an echo chamber. I like that! I remain old and tired but folks like you help me be a little less cynical.
