Attn: San Diego Active Military |
|
I am looking for a few active military people who would be willing to ride in uniform on the Coronado Democratic Club float in the 4th of July parade in Coronado. The float is NOT anti-war, anti-bush, or anti-government, it is NOT anti anything. The float will have positive quotes from past Dem and Rep presidents like:
"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." John F. Kennedy, Democrat
"The government is US; we are the government, you and I." Theodore Roosevelt, Republican
Thank you.

It's against most military regulations for military personnel to wear their uniform in the setting you have described.
It would give the impression that the military is supporting a particular political entity, and if reported, which they probably will be, they can be court martialed.
Try to get some veterans groups instead.

4. The only way to know is to ask |
|
Find out where you're nearest VFW or American Legion group is located and ask them.

2. Didn't you hear, being a Democrat in public isn't safe anymore |
|
It's one party - the "Republican/Freedom thru Jesus" party only around military bases.
