Suggestion from a lounge lizard: a positive letter campaign to Dean |
|
Edited on Wed Jun-08-05 05:57 PM by iconoclastic cat
My suggestion, for any who wish to hear it, is that instead of sitting around at DU complaining about the abuse of Dean by various twits, DUers should approach the issue in another familiar way: send emails of support. We're always writing to complain or compliment this or that; maybe this time, if Howard Dean received 70,000 emails voicing support for his style, the twits would go silent.
Just a thought. I will be writing my letter tonight. I will be sure to be very specific in my praise.
Edited: grammar and style

I was pretty general in my praise, but that's because I'm tired.

3. As any teacher will tell you, specific praise creates momentum. |

People usually continue a behavior when it is reinforced through the praise of specific details.

I'm gonna write one, too. Dean needs to hear from those who support him. Sounds like he's been through mediahell.

4. I sent one along with a small donation to the DNC - |

Each time Dean's been criticized this year, I've donated a bit and sent a separate email explaining that my donation is to explicitly demonstrate my SUPPORT of Howard Dean...
