Can Anybody Beat Bush?
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 10:35 AM by Skinner
George W Bush, finally, has seen the short side of the 50% approval stick.

In a recent Zogby poll, dated Sept 6th:

http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=732

Bush's job performance figures are currently 45% positive, 54% negative!! These are his worst numbers since January 2001, well before 9/11. The Zogby poll also showed that 52% of respondents believe it’s time to put a new face in the Whitehouse.

Things look pretty shaky for George, which spells good news for the Dems, right?

Maybe.

In another recent poll, none of the Democratic candidates were able to beat Bush in a hypothetical election.

Does this mean that the Dems are running in a wild goose chase, and that GW is the goose?

I don't think so, and here is why. As the 2000 election showed, only about 50% of eligible voters actually vote. Of those, Republicans and Democrats are split nearly evenly at about 20% each, and the remaining 10% belong to some 3rd party. Before you pick on me, these numbers are approximations, but still pretty close, agreed?

So it's EZ to beat the chimp!!
Any candidate--I mean ANYone could beat smirk.
What they may not be able to beat are the special Deibold voting machines that the republikkkins put in place in every state.

Will Your Vote Count in the Next Election?

Maybe not! How will we even know?

6. The best solution that I can think of for THAT...
besdides legitimate machines, is to get out the vote like has never been seen in this country. If the election is close, the Republicans WILL try to cheat.

Ifwe blow that Chimp back to Midland, in a crazed voter rebellion, then the Repukes won't dare try to steal it. Better to cut their losses, dump the chump, and live to fight another day. These guys are greedy and have a big freaking monkey lust for power, but they are not stupid, not by any means.

Get out the vote, flood the election with new Dem voters.

I don't want to make this thread candidate specific, but we should all look to see who can bring in the most new voters this election. That is KEY to a Chimpmaster-W defeat in 2004.
