A freeper that constantly causes trouble at another website had this to say about Kenndy's statements on Iraq...
Kennedy's interview was an anti-Bush, anti-war tirade loose on facts and high on leftist rhetoric.
Kennedy said, "This was made up in Texas, announced in January to the Republican leadership that war was going to take place and was going to be good politically. This whole thing was a fraud."
Is there any basis in fact for this claim? Kennedy cites none ... he's just satisfied to make the charge.
Kennedy also says that foreign leaders are being bribed with taxpayer money.
But there are no US taxpayer funds being paid to foreign leaders for support in the war in Iraq.
The fact that this bloated sot is a respected member of the Democratic leadership is testament to the moral depravity of the Democratic Party and its supporters.
this is not drivel - here is a man who allowed a woman to die inside his partially submerged car while he paced up and down the roadside worrying about his political future. He then used his family's wealth and fame to virtually escape any responsibility for his cowardly actions. He should have had the decency to disappear behind the walls of the Kennedy compound years ago. Instead, he's one of the most powerful Democrats in the Senate, orchestrating filibusters against conservative appointees to federal courts and lying about the motivations behind the war on terrorism.
Democrats should be so proud. (end quote) ----------------------------------------------------------------------
These people are actually allowed to roam free on the streets...go figure...

1. Fight back for Ted Kennedy! |
|
Here's what to do:
Ted Kennedy's numbers are -
in Washington: (202) 224 - 4543 in Boston: (617) 565 - 3170
PLEASE CALL his office(s) to tell them you approve of what he said and you are glad somebody of great prominence is finally telling it like it is - this war IS a "FRAUD made up in Texas." AND, that you want to know where the money's going and why so much of it, every month, is unaccounted for.
For even more fun, here are Tom DeLay's numbers. Thank you very much, Tom, for once again trying to question someone's patriotism when they dare question what YOU and YOURS are up to! How utterly American of you, schmuck!
in Washington: (202) 225 - 5951 in Texas: (281) 240 - 3700
PLEASE CALL his office(s) also - to tell them how utterly wrong he is, how Ted Kennedy is absolutely correct, and how he, DeLay, should SHUT UP! Or better yet, start WISING UP and stop this Godawful war!
This is VITALLY important! They need to hear from us! You can bet your lunch money Ted is getting bombarded with right-wing hate mail for showing spine like this. He needs to hear from us to counter balance those attacks.

9. I called both this morning |
|
I called Senator Kennedy's office in DC, and then DeLay's office in Texas (no answer in his DC office). DeLay's office claimed they didn't know what I was talking about, (his nice attitude did a 360 degree turn when I mentioned Kennedy's name) and hung up on me - talk about uncivil! LMAO

2. They can't pull Chapaquidick out of their ass forever |

Kennedy was wrong, but he isn't wrong now. Bush is wrong now, and Kennedy wouldn't have said any of it if he couldn't back it up.

4. How many of us here would have skated if we did a "Chapaquidick"? |
|
I'm betting we would still be in jail or at least flat broke.
Any takers?

7. My point has nothing to do with political parties |
|
I asking how would any of us here have fared in court if we did the same. Was my point really that unclear?

away for a year. I see your point and I thought he should have given up his seat but he has done a pretty good job for us.I have to look at it in the light he has worked at being sorry. Should he be there? No but he is and does his homework.

like drunk driving, and frankly that is probably what it was. You don't get life sentences for it. It was also a long time ago. I care about Bush's crimes to many hundreds of American boys right now.

12. one part of this is absolutely incorrect |
|
But there are no US taxpayer funds being paid to foreign leaders for support in the war in Iraq.
This person must not remember 8 months ago, when George W. Bush promised all that money to Turkey, and any other country in the "Coalition of the billing"

13. Check out this drivel... |

(quote) Why don't you send some money to some Muslim terror group. They can use the money to bomb a hotel or hospital. Do you guys ejaculate when an American soldier dies? The biggest threat to Americans are not Saddams renegades but the leftist apologists for murderers. They were in France during WW11. The left capitualted and several million French jews were sent off to death camps. Why? It did not interfere with the lefts life style. Accept the murderers!! The leftist critics are killing soldiers. Their blood is on your hands because you are weak kneed. Show the murderers you will capitulate!! It gives them strength. Shame on you! (end quote)
Do you believe this guy...? What a loon...

that before Poland signed on - we underwrote a 'no interest loan' (underwrote = we pay) for some US Manufactured warplanes - a two-fer - buy an ally - and give taxpayer $s to a campaing sponsor.
Then later when Poland sent a handful of troops (most not for battle), WE paid all of the expenses for transport to the arena, we pay all overhead (housing, food, etc.)
Apparently this is not an usual arrangement - we are paying most of the costs for the 'international' troops in Iraq. THis is NOT his daddies GulfWar where forces and paying for them were a joint effort.
