Sleeper Cells Waiting To Strike?...Or DSM smoke screen.?
How long have the feds had the goods on these two "Terrorists"? The people in the US are on to Bush's politically motivated PR/"terra lerts," when the heat is really on the GOPers, over some underhanded trick they're pulling, or when they get caught up in another big lie! Is this terrorist bust in California just another slick Rove trick, timed to shift the focus of the public away from the truly hot issue at hand? Very odd how just when the DSM story starts to really make some headlines, the feds all of a sudden get very lucky, don't you think? BTW, I'll bet both of these guys were the number three guys in the "Sleeper Cell"!

Sleeper Cells Waiting To Strike?

CBS/AP) A terrorism investigation in the quiet farming town of Lodi, California, has led to the arrests of a father and son who said he trained at an al Qaeda camp in Pakistan and planned to attack U.S. hospitals and supermarkets, authorities said.

Federal investigators believe a number of people committed to al Qaeda have been operating in and around Lodi, a wine-growing region about 30 miles south of Sacramento, FBI Agent Keith Slotter said Wednesday. He would not elaborate.

Slotter added that investigators did not have information about any specific plans for an attack, and the father and son were charged only with lying to federal agents about the son's training at the al Qaeda camp. Two local Muslim leaders also have been detained on immigration violations.

The arrests in California are just the latest in a series of arrests of suspected terrorists who are U.S. citizens. They raise the possibility that there are terrorist sleeper cells in this country who are planning new attacks, reports CBS News Correspondent Bob Orr. MORE....

8. Only The Skeerd Say Skeerd!
I wonder if the two Terra-ists are just guys the Groppenfuehrer sent over from the Hollywood studios?

The GOPers have cried wolf so many times about the "expected terrorist attacks" and lied about everything else so much, that nobody in their right mind would believe anything they put out... The down side of that is, it causes the public to let down their guard, because they've been warned so often and nothing has happened.

2. I no longer fuckin' care, *. Big Bad Wolf. Didn't you read that on 9/11?
I don't care if they strike or not. Life isn't permanent and I'm going to live life with a smile on my face as long as I can until they or you kill me. You're both the same and you're not worth reacting in fear to.

7. Exactly
Who wants to live forever? Odds are better of being wiped in a traffic wreck have to be much higher than being snuffed by a terror event. The odds of dying from a "superbug" infection caught in the hospital are higher still.

Plus, their track record leaves a little to be desired as far as successful apprehension of an actual cell member, sooner or later they will eventually find a real terrorist.

3. Bush is in trouble
If Bush wasn't in so much hot water right now, the FBI would:

A. Not get these guys

OR

B. Make their arrests silent

4. Uh, it's the latter, methinks...
Whenever there's something they want to distract us from, the color-coded alert moves up, a plane gets diverted to Nova Scotia or someone has threatened to blow up Disney World. It's as predictable as a Bruckheimer movie.

6. So, is it a red alert or yellow or orange?
They don't do colors anymore since the election, and fox doesn't report it every 10 seconds on their little scroll.

I think you are exactly right. The sleeper Cell story dominated the CBS newscast more than any other story on there tonight. Little, or nothing about the DSM!
