Ex-Deputy Explains Taser Incident (Gwinnett Co. Death)
A former Gwinnett County sheriff’s deputy at the center of a controversy regarding the death of an inmate in custody explained to investigators why he used a Taser multiple times on the inmate in an interview last year.

He was handcuffed and his feet were restrained when deputies took him into the jail. As he struggled, Mustachio gave Williams a five-second blast the Taser.

“He was arching his back like a kid trying to get out of a car seat, you know how they arch their back like that. Lt. Cook was giving him commands telling him to stop resisting,” he is heard telling investigators on the video.

Mustachio soon followed with another Taser hit. “His back went down into the chair like he was seated. They were trying to get the straps on, and he arched again, so, I hit him again,” he told investigators.
