2004: oust Bush by redefining Democrat agenda |
|
Forget personalities and individual Dem candidates' running intentions for a moment.
The one thing Democrats appear to be united in is that deception and corruption have an immensely successful stranglehold on the American electorate, resulting in cunning con artists being bankrolled into office so that they can then appoint non-elected thugs to powerful ministerial posts.
Nothing is going to change the status quo unless Dems rally round to demand that all the backing vocals of a presidential/vice presidential ticket are also democratically elected politicians, accountable to their own contituent voters.
The Democrat who redefines American politics and paves the way for a wholly elected democratically accountable presidential team is the one who will stop the rot.

1. The problem is, we don't have enough HONEST pols as it is. |

Many who've been around the political class for any length of time have told me (and I've seen with my own two eyes) are in it for power or money and power. Unfortunately, this holds for too many Democrats, as well.
So, the trick becomes one of finding honest politicians — first. The Democratic Party seems to draw more people who are interested in using the power of government to make the country a better place for ALL Americans.
The repukes call that communism and use a selective form of friendly socialism they call a free market, but we know as a stacked deck. We can convert those who aren't Democrats by giving them an inense course in political philosophy and a very short course in political history.
All the while, we should remember your idea for keeping them honest between fundraising events. Watch what they do and who they do it with. And, unlike our relatives, we can choose with the ballot those we want to keep around.
