Colin Powell coming back for damage control on DSM
If anybody still had any doubts about who butters Mr. Powell's buns, he is back in the media to attack the Downing Street Memo.

As always, his alleged integrity is brought into the game when they need to dish out the best bullshit.

Sure, Powell has a conscience. He is very conscientious when it comes to covering up his master's mistakes.

2. Yep
Of course. People had some respect for Powell and all that, so that's why they're bringing him around.

3. Bingo. Powell could wind up before the Hague, too, if it came to it.
But that's good. Let all of them scream from the highest rooftops that they are innocent. It will only make more people aware of the memo.

6. and make them resent being lied to
as so many cite Clinton's real offense the interview where he shook his finger, "I never had sex with that woman..."

However, those who attacked Clinton most vociferously have different standards (including for impeachment) for GOP liars. And the MSM scarcely touches the DSM, and they've adopted that lazy & complicit non-investigative attitude toward the White House.

Yes, Powell's denial makes it more likely that the flames of public awareness & accountability to catch. I thibnk it still needs something else. Impeachment?

4. I'd be willing to let Powell off the hook with immunity
if he would be willing to testify against everyone.

10. I thought the same thing when I saw him on
the Daily Show last night. Interesting timing of his appearance on even that show.
