For Goodness Sakes'. HOWARD DEAN IS THE ONE DEMOCRAT WITH ANY SPINE AND
WITH COURAGE TO TELL THE TRUTH, CALL THE BASTARDS FOR WHAT THEY TRULY ARE AND FEEL NO NEED TO APOLOGIZE OR BACK DOWN ONE INCH FROM HIS TRUTH TELLING and all these sissified democrats are asking him to APOLOGIZE, TONE IT DOWN ...etc.

they may as well just ask him, the one guy who stands for the symbol of our democracy, our right to dissent and our right to free thought and speech, to put his two hands out so the fascist emperor and his goons can shackle him and throw him, together with our democracy, our right to free thought, and our right to free speech, in the darkest dungeon ever forever and a day to come!!!

give it up guys!!! let the MAN speak. let DEMOCRACY BE TRULY FREE. Don't ever diminish the works, or the words, of a thinking, honest man, and much less, don't ever demand that the MAN apologize for his words, or for his works!!!!!!

1. Thank you
Obama, Biden et al should shut their pieholes. Do they think the "white, Christian GOP" will show moderation against them next time they run?

2. I'm supporting Dean, but don't say he's the only one....it's unfair to
the many Dems who speak out in some way every day and get NO MEDIA ATTENTION.

6. but who are the other democrats?
Clinton loves poopy bush and his son junior. James Carville and Paul Begala and others who I have seen on television want HOWARD DEAN out or silenced, or both... and for the rest of the time, i don't much watch any of the CNN-MSNBC AND NEVER FAUX NEWS so ... i am out in the dark as to WHO might be speaking out in some way every day .... (but i had not read the last part of your sentence "get NO MEDIA ATTENTION" SO maybe, those are the democrats everywhere and anywhere who, ordinary citizens, like you and me, who speak out against the bushes and their fascist regime but, as ordinary citizens, our voices get lost in the wilderness.

8. Kucinich is one
I'm just saying...

The party really does seem to me to be wilting once again, and that's one reason why I am not as supportive as I have been in the past. I haven't given up yet, but I sure hope the party starts to build up some unity and starts to become stronger. It has become quite disappointing in the last few years.

17. Thank you.
The propensity for Dean folks to constantly refer to him as the "ONLY" fueled primary wars; I supported the Dr.s current appointment, and hoped we could get over the messiah complex.

I appreciate the Dr.s outspokenness. As I appreciate DKs unswerving focus on the issues of importance to our nation, and my former Senator Boxer's willingness to step out and take a stand. I don't see that anyone is the "ONLY." Far too few, yes. ONLY, no.

22. Please, help refresh my memory. I seem to remember that when
Kucinich stood up, spoke truth to power, and tried to do the right thing the media tried to make him into some whacky kook, and I seem to remember his being marginalized by some of these same dems who are currently raisin' hell about Dean.

Give'em hell Dennis and give'em hell Howard!

that. I just figured someone would show up with the 'what the hell are you talking about' queries so I was requesting the memory refresher.;-)

25. Conyers and Kerry are on the DSM with the media tiptoeing around the edges
of what they are saying, but will not air their entire statements.

Same with Kennedy, Corzine and many congressional Dems.

They speak out on healthcare, noone pays attention. They speak against the crony capitalism and noone broadcasts their complaints.

Hell, the media even EDITED Dean's remarks to make them sound militant when he was actually quite reasonable in his presentation. Some here respond favorably to the media perception of this ginned up militancy while those who actually listen to what Dean said are pleased about the point he was making.

5. It's amazing we survived before Howard Dean
I'm sorry, but I get a little insulted by these "Dean is the only one..." comments. Dean is not the only one, he did not invent the Democratic Party, and he is not our savior.

9. Barbara Boxer, Russ Feingold, Dennis Kucinich, Peter DeFazio,
Cynthia McKinney, and other members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus do it all the time and are ignored by the MSM.

Don't get me wrong, Dean is doing a great job as DNC chair, but he's NOT the only outspoken Dem, just the only one who gets any media attention.

Kennedy's been smacking around Republicans and weak Democrats since Dean was getting high on the ski slopes.

Also, Kennedy never came across as a maniac.

21. See, I don't think so
As I point out on another thread, I may be poisoned by living in DC. But most of the active Dems I know in this area - the ones who eat and breathe politics - are scared of Dean, because everyone thinks he is nuts.

He has energy and ideas. No one doubts this. But if energy and ideas were all it took, then Curtis Silwa would be president now.

The problem is, Dean is as poor an extemporaneous speaker as I have ever seen in politics. He is not a stumbling fool like W who always looks like a baby making a poo when he completes a sentence. But W keeps it simple at least. Dean likes to talk ... at great length ... about complicated issues but is incapable of editing himself or softening his rhetoric. It's like hearing a midnight college bull session...but on Meet the Press.

28. i wonder what those medical colleagues of his who knew him before he got
into politics think about him. (i also wonder what those non-political colleagues of his who knew him when he was governor of vermont think of him.)

I've heard Dean talk. He does not talk in soundbites, THANK GOD FOR THAT!!!!!!!He talks in long, thought out, well reasoned sentences. He is Oriented to TIME, PLACE and PERSON. He DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE DELUSIONAL, nor does he appear to be HALLUCINATING. An inteviewer seems to be able to engage him in reasonable conversation--though the interviewer may get a whole lot of a hell more than he asked for as an answer AND THAT IS GOOD!!!! And, Dean STANDS HIS GROUND in clear and coherent sentences, as you well point out. THEY DON'T seem to be able to make him bend his knee, brake his back, nor make him lose his train of thought and they, FOR SURE, HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO MAKE HIM APOLOGIZE FOR ANY OF THE TRUTH TO GUT HONEST REMARKS THAT HE HAS MADE ABOUT THEM, ABOUT BUSH, OR ABOUT ANY OF THE DARN BASTARDS. AND THAT TOO is good.

I admit, I am not in WASHINGTON,D.C., i ALSO recognize that politicians in WASHINGTON, D.C. have THEIR OWN AGENDA and, their own agenda sometimes seems to be one where they want more to STROKE every darned republican who is living and breathing on this planet than stand up for the democrats' principles they were supposedly elected to stand up for.

So far, I say, Go Dean, Go! You Go, guy!

and oh, yes... there was once a man, much like Dean, who liked to call truth to power... he called himself the gadfly of the people and he made the politicians damned mad because he exposed them for the liars that they were. SOCRATES WAS HIS NAME. HEMLOCK WAS HIS FATE.

30. And the DLC/Blue God Mafia assaults Dean for daring...
to define our party from the Republican/Facists!

Dean just needs to use the proper words for the presentation, the message however, is right on. If Obama wants to be part of the Dobson Mob then he can, we will be the Americans!
