2. It was mentioned last night
for about two seconds by Colin Powell who basically said it was no big deal.
I'm hoping they jump on it tonight. I think they were nervous that Powell would have left the show if they brought it up in a skit before the interview.

13. I'm pretty sure that was last nights episode...
but I purposely skipped the Newt episode because I didn't think I could take it. So you might be right. I tivo it so I'll sometimes watch in a backwards order.

3. I have not heard anything on John Stewart.
The silence on the Downing Street Memo's is almost deafening. John Kerry promised some action on it, but his office later said that they were going to hold off because the House was not conducting official business at the time.

As John Kerry is a Senator, and I thought that impeachment proceedings began in the Senate, I still do not understand what the postponement was about. Maybe they wanted to see what kind of spin the bush / b'Liar discussion would produce.

6. Impeachement Proceedings Are Typically
Edited on Thu Jun-09-05 10:35 AM by GiovanniC
Initiated by the judiciary committee of the House of Representatives. Then they send the articles of impeachment to the full House, and if it passes by a majority vote, it goes to the Senate for trial.

8. Thank you.
Did you see the same report that I did last week? It said that Kerry was planning to begin impeachment proceedings on Monday (last Monday)

It was posted on a website called "The Conservative Voice" and then I read some follow up comments here that supposedly came from his office.

Do you know any more about this?

7. Ha anyone considered for a moment that the DSM could be a trap?
Has Blair's government offically denied or confirmed its validity?

9. He did refer to it during a press conference with bush.
He implied that part of it was taken out of context, but he did not even remotely suggest that it was not a genuine document.

10. Even if it is a trap it has backfired
It is getting out slowly but surely that everything may not have been on the up and up. People are starting to wonder and grumble a bit. The fact that it has been out for well over a month now and they haven't officially debunked it is in itself evidence of the truth of it. People are starting to wipe the sleep from their eyes and say what are we in Iraq for anyway and when are we getting out? This is all good. Polls are showing more people are now opposed to being in Iraq than are for it. Any more doubt that can be put into people's heads is a very good thing.

11. What I was thinking was the trap has even been sprung yet
that soon was the MSM really gets going on it we are going to present evidence that the thing was in part or total a fabrication.

12. If the DSM were a fabrication or a trap...
I would think the trap would have been sprung during the British election. Blair was highly damaged by the release of the "memo," plus I can't think that this strategy would be good for the * admin. no matter how you slice it.

Other supporting evidence also lends to the validity of the information contained in the minutes.
