US support for the war in Iraq collapsing, poll shows

MOST Americans no longer believe the war in Iraq has made their country safer, and more than 60pc of the country believes the military is bogged down in a conflict that was not worth fighting in the first place, according to a new opinion poll offering only bad news to the Bush administration.

The poll for 'The Washington Post' and ABC News, published yesterday, was the first survey in which a majority of Americans rejected the White House's argument that invading Iraq and toppling Saddam Hussein was good for domestic security.

1. A little late, morons.
You know, like a few thousand LIVES too late.

Jeez, if there is a purgatory, everyone who voted for AWOL in the last election should spend a year for every life lost in Georgie's grand "I'm a War Preznit" adventure.

2. this afternoon i am going to pool
with two fundie friends. all of last school year, especially fall prior to election i talk to these women a lot. the interesting thing is they are smack in the middle of the bush support think. i am not preaching today at the pool. i am more curious what they are going to talk about. whenever the three of us has gotten together, i have done the talking, they the listening, and it was about bush

so i am excited to see their thinking

i also know my father is acting odd, talking to me about politics again, and saying good things about clinton

another 40 yr old repug male came to house for the weekend, and i chewed him out for an hour. hard and fast. all his arrogance as a white male, telling me how i am suppose to live. that afternoon he came to me, head down in shame, talking about conditioning his 13 year old in hate, per bill oreilly and fox news. was really interesting

8. You also can't miss with Kevin Phillips' Wealth and Democracy
"You can have great wealth or a democracy, but you can't have both."- Louis Brandeis

This book is all about wealth concentrations in declining economic empires.

7. Bbbut, they told us the price of gas would go down and it'd only take
a few weeks. It's still sooo expensive to fill up my big republican SUV.
