The "ownership" society? Is that when a small group owns it all?
Will there be nothing left that is owned and shared by everyone?

9. Actually three, I think
7,000 people that own things
7,000,000 people with weapons to protect the above 7,000's position
7,000,000,000 people to be beaten, shot, raped, robbed, and enslaved by the above 7,000,000.

2. Yes, but will the Captain go down with the ship?
Because if past behavior is a predictor of future performance, they're going to have to bail him out...again.

Every parasite needs a host. Guess who's the parasite and who's the host?

They'll bleed us just short of dry.

10. I think it's simply this:
It's a vision of a society in which all disposable income is reivensted in the stock market. Everyone with an income would "own" stock in portfolios buildtand managed by those who will profit most by such a transparent scam.

11. The close cousin of "ownership"
...is "empowerment". In actual practice, empowerment seems to mean additional responsibilty with no additional authority (especially when used in a work setting).

Both terms have positive connotations, but in actual practice mean negative things. I'm so sick of this "throw a good-sounding word to the sheeple so that they'll buy into your evilness and think it's a good thing" b.s. the Repubs have been pushing for a while now.
