(Comment on article: The Toledo Blade is a real newspaper with real reporters. They go out and do their job and produce excellent results. Shame on you NYT, WaPost, LAT and the other arrogant, lazy major outlets of CM (corporate media). But, of course, you have no shame, do you. When you get instructions from "management" to do your jog, try cribbing from The Toledo Blade, a real newspaper.

Kaptur alerts colleagues of unfolding scandal
Brown says illegalities put presidential election in question

By STEVE EDER
BLADE STAFF WRITER

WASHINGTON - As the word spread Tuesday night that the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation had lost $215 million in a high-risk investment, U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur alerted her colleagues to the mounting concerns in her home state.

Miss Kaptur, during a statement on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday night, said "there is a major political scandal that is unfolding in the state of Ohio."

"The governor of our state has permitted millions and millions of dollars of workers' money from the Ohio Worker's Compensation Fund to be invested in high-risk investments," Miss Kaptur said in a statement that was placed on the congressional record.

<snip>

The $215 million loss - coupled with a failed $50 million rare-coin investment with Tom Noe, a prominent Republican campaign contributor - have given Democrats political ammunition against the GOP, which has dominated state government for years.

Democrats such as Miss Kaptur and U.S. Rep. Sherrod Brown of Lorain say the latest scandals mirror problems in Washington and even call into question the results of the 2004 presidential election.

<snip>

Democrats say there is still more ground to be covered in investigating problems in Ohio, including a look at the 2004 presidential campaign.

"I think the George Bush campaign raised a lot of illegal money in Ohio," Mr. Brown said. "That puts the election in some question. I know these people stop at nothing and I know their incompetence kept a significant number of people from getting to vote."

Don't you just love this. The Toledo Blade can bring down the entire house of cards.

I propose a merger or swap between The Blade and the WaPost. The Blade takes over the Post, fires everybody, all of the little dillitante, spoiled brat, blow-dried, quislings. Then they run the place. Call it "The Wasington Blade-Post" -- total humiliation to all former Post reporters (including Woodward who is specifically fired for being such a jert to "Deep Throat" that Throat bypasser The Post for a very fine weekly to spill the beans).

Oh yeah...now we're cooking

7. My dad was saying the same thing about the Blade two days
ago. His girlfriend's ex met with a reporter from that newspaper recently who told him that they had information about a few ugly Ohio scandals that go "all the way to Washington and the White House". My father was excited that they had THE story that would bring down BushCo. I told them that there had been many such stories over the past five years, and none got any real traction, but one can always hope...

31. Blade has some really great reporters.
They remind me of the way the Mercury News used to be until they toned down for a more corporate management team. They're still good, but no longer first rate, imo..

See how they work it from the local perspective. * and crew are so insidious, they are reaching EVERYWHERE, so finding the local scandal is not difficult.

Don't believe me? Schedule a meeting with your local school superintendent to learn about how lack of NCLB funding is impacting non-mandated programs. Then write your findings in LTTE and blog here and/or to your local indymedia outlet.

And for the billionth time, when there is good coverage, call the reporter and congratulate him or her. Good way to start a meaningful relationship.

PROUD TO GIVE THIS ITS 6TH NOMINATION.

13. Kaptur and Brown criticize the Ohio Republicans??? Election Fraud??
Call Hannity, Call Falafel Bill, Call CNN, Call Biden, Lieberman and Pelosi. Demand a retraction for the comments that dare to call into question the morality or ethics of the Republicans. Make the "awful" comments of Kaptur and Brown the story. Call in the Democratic Hit Team. Let loose the dogs of OxyRush, Beck, Falwell, and Robertson. This cannot be tolerated.

The house of cards is falling all at once, like I always knew it would. Sensenbrenner, Frist, Delay, Ashcroft, Tennet, it's a morgue of broken dreams. The slimeballs thought they could surf the money all the way to whatever they wanted. They're not getting their way, and it's faith-based tantrum time.

36. They cough up the standard disclaimer:
"It's just a few rotten apples." I read something earlier today from an Ohio paper (maybe not the Blade) where someone referred to Noe as a "rotten apple."

How they can even pretend to believe that b.s. is beyond me.

Hey autorank, do you remember someone from fraudwell's office trolling in ER&D forum bragging that fraudwell will never go to prison because what he did was not illegal? Well, it looks like it ain't over; we may still get to see him doing the frog march:evilgrin:

Why is it shit heads come from all over the freeperland internet and show up at ER&D? Who do they go after? Well, the second question answers the first because they go after TruthIsAll. Why come to ER&D and do that, because the "TruthMan" has proven six was from Sunday that the frigging election was a rigged game, he's taken on all commers, and sent the little by-otchs running with their tales between their scraney little hind legs. Oh, and they go after others too but their focus is to discredit the most elegant election fraud proof, the proof that convinced the rest of the world * stole it.
