There probably are plots afoot to hit us again. The problem is, Bush's administration wouldn't know them if they stumbled into one of their meetings and saw diagrams of planes aimed at nuclear plants. Everything Bush does is for show, and all of these "We may have possibly uncovered a possible plot to possibly blow up something at some time somewhere, and possibly that target is bigger than a garbage can" are just hype.

What's the most frustrating is that they've cried wolf so many times no one listens, so when it is the real thing, we won't know.

Clinton spent much of the 90s warning us of terrorists, and the Republicans spent the 90s saying essentially what the OP said--that it was all a ploy by Clinton. We know, of course, that it wasn't, and that he was right. The danger is still there. The problem is that BushCo isn't interested in protecting America, he's only interested in using fear to manipulate us.

So, I agree with the OP that this is just more diversion and fear-mongering, and with the OPs assessment of what BushCo considers a terrorist. I don't agree that there is nothing out there--though I don't think that's exactly what the OP said. I'm just not going to waste any of my stress pills on any warning given until Bush is out of office.

15. I heard on the local news that the "Lodi terrorists" were

interrogated for two days before they confessed to being terrorists. They will get a trial though, which is more than many of the prisoners in Guantanamo have gotten or so it was reported. We will see.
