1. They have to tolerate other people and ideas, ... |
|
... and they don't like it. It reminds them that they might not always be right.

I dunno, I would find life very horrible if I was as paranoid as most Republicans appear to be. "Aahhh!! Gays are gonna destroy my marriage! Blacks are gonna break down my door, rape my daughter, and steal my TV! Mexicans are gonna take my job! Eeeeek!!!"

7. Right, I forgot one of the most important reasons; they want to tell |
|
everyone else how to be, what to do, what to think, what to feel. There is a very real organic impulse to be a dictator. Many people mistake the power of this inclination to be a sign from the "Holy Spirit" that they are the Holy Right, so they have a responsibility, nobles oblige, to dominate others for their own good. Others don't care about whether they are right or blessed with spiritual insight. They just want what they want at any cost to anyone but themselves.

12. Indeed! Difference is SCARY to many people! |
|
So is chaos, indeterminism and anything else that approaches something like 50:50, or a dialectic that yeilds a "third term". They fear the "third term". This is because some people are REALLY weak; some people lack their own organic identity, ergo they cannot co-exist with any "Other" strength, because their identity is not their own, and yet they claim to be strong. Everything is about "the message" and "the image" of strength around a 0.

I've had this same thought and had no idea it was a science. People without identity, who latch onto the latest image, and seem foreign in their own skin. I'd say they haven't come to understand themselves whatsoever and must find a "type" to be. Ususally that "type" is found from a T.V. show.

highway. They don't like freedom, because it gives people options for how to run their own lives.
