Is there such a thing as Iraqi patriotism?Would such a patriot not want to
fight the American invader, regardless of whether he is a Sunni or a Shiite or a Baathist?

Why then does our Press not report on this? Why do they think that any Iraqi who fights the American invader is an insurgent? What gives legitimacy to the American presence in Iraq?

2. Ah, but you forget
Anyone who fights for any country but America has no interest in justice or liberty - he is motivated only by a monstrous thirst for the blood of innocents and his greatest desire to rape baby girls before crushing their fragile and delicate skulls under his spiked boots.

:)

We've been doing this for years. Look at every war and see the demonization of the enemy at work.

3. I'd just like to offer them "sniff" our Patriot Act.
It's Americans like us that pay through the goddamn nose for a war without WMD only to offer the fucking Iraqi's Democracy so that we can have a Patriot Act that enables the FBI to breathe down our throats.

4. shhhhhhhhhh, you aren't aloud to say such things in Murka
Why everyone knows that they want an American form of government and McDonalds and Coke and prostitution and bars on every street corner....oh and they ALL want to be converted to Christianity.

They LOVE our troops being there handing out candy to kids.

Its only the terraists, them foreigners, stirring up Iraq. They LOVE us, really, no really, I promise. they love us, its just the terraists

Americans, and those who wish they were Americans.
Everyone else is insurgents and terrorists.

Their national conceit knows no bounds.

That's why the press will report only that "They hate us for what we have" and never a word about "They hate us for what we do".

I've always suspected that the insurgency consists almost exclusively of normal Iraqis of varying levels of anger at the occupation.

The angriest take an active role in fighting the occupying force, followed by a larger population not quite angry enough to blow someone up but certainly angry enough to keep mum when they see a bomb being planted.

Then comes the most worrisome segment...a huge population doubtless growing by the week who are just this far (finger and thumb held a half-inch apart) from being angry enough.

Edited to specify "republicans"!
