Bush and the live backdrops are disturbing, at least to me.
Saw his speaking today with troopers on a tiered platform behind him.

I don't like the graphic backdrop plan either, but I'll take it over the uniformed bodies.

10. typical?
:wtf:

I would hardly say that his "typical" audience was a police department. Compare the innocuous picture of President Clinton to the picture here, in post #12

You can look at the two and see a comparison????

13. The difference to me between
the pictures is the one with Clinton looks just casual and like he's talking to the group. The one with Bush looks like he's going to war with anybody who is against him and the military's got his back. :\

16. that was exactly my point
I wish I were able to post pictures, I'd post them side by side for the full effect. Yes, Pres Clinton was within the realm of normalcy, and * is, well, the picture says it all.

My jaw hit the floor when I saw the image that they were projecting. Has no one besides Duers studied history?

8. you mean this one?

this is a common propaganda ploy used for a long time by politicians to show that

"the "people" are behind him"
be it the police, military, etc.
or whoever

This photo was taken a few years ago

Now in this photo the healthy forest are behind him.

19. Ever Seen Silver City?
The John Sayles movie that was a metaphor for Bush.

One of the scenes nailed it perfectly. The goofy Governor candidate -- who was obviously a jab at Bush -- is taping speeches. He has two backdrops, some soldiers on one side and fire men on the other. There were only about 6 of each packed tightly to look like a large group onm TV, and they were backdrops for seperate speeches....It was so obviously phony that it perfectly captured the essence of Her Bush's little pep rallies.
