Inspector General Cites Five Missed Opportunities To Thwart 9/11 Attacks
http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/2236796172

Washington. D.C. (AHN) - According to a report released by the Justice Department's inspector general, the FBI missed five crucial opportunities to uncover vital terrorist information before the Sept. 11 attacks.

The inspector general faults the FBI for not knowing about the presence of two of the hijackers responsible for the attacks in the United States, and failing to follow up on theories that Bin Laden was sending students to the U.S. to attend flight training schools.

The report states once the agency discovered the presence of hijackers Nawaf al Hazmi and Khalid al Mihdhar in the U.S., the investigation was conducted with little urgency or priority.

“The way the FBI handled these matters was a significant failure that hindered the FBI’s chances of being able to detect and prevent the Sept. 11 attacks,” Inspector General Glenn Fine said.

------There you have it, SIGNIFICANT FAILURE all the way around----

1. Then again, if someone had actually taken the AUgust 6 PDB

with appropriate urgency and ordered the FBI to put it on the highest urgency and poll all its departments and offices for any potentially terrorist-related activity, maybe they would have a chance.

But the brush cutting awaits ...

5. Ashcroft...
was too busy rounding up hookers in New Orleans. You gotta' have your priorities straight. Sex is a very, very bad thing.

4. I think they're ramping up to eviscerate the FBI
and make them more "user friendly" toward themselves. In other words, they're going to enforce their own brand of political correctness on the FBI and probably have people in the "right positions" as a future weapon against the democrats.

7. That's it...
They blamed the CIA during and after the 9/11 commission hearings, and have since turned it into an empty dept with an empty head (Goss). This is most likely what they're going to do to the FBI with the release of this latest bullshit...:grr:

8. There's also probably the aspect of finding and getting rid of
a future Deep Throat before it can happen. Technically, they do still have 3 years to go.

10. Sibel Edmonds
said the FBI had very precise information by April 2001. Neverteless, every attempt by field agents to investigate the hijackers was decisively thwarted by some people in FBI HQ. Nothing to see here, folks, move along.

11. So, George Bush who vacationed 45% of the time prior to 9/11
and disregarded all the warnings...he was a victim of our institutional watchdogs who were all incompetents?

What if the FBI/CIA were, in fact, doing their jobs by sending the info upstream, but those in a position to react were getting orders from above saying, "stuff it, cuz we need that 'New Pearl Harbor' to happen so we can start our 'Pax Americana'"?

This is amazingly bizarre stuff going on.
