Hmmm, the words of a guy who got one of the most prized positions in mainstream journalism (editor of TNR) and made an absolute mess of it, a man who will not let anyone forget that he is an Oxonian and former head of the Oxford Union yet who went on to become America's foremost defender of barebacking, a man who desperately wants to be the voice of both gay and conservative America yet cannot make one coherent statement even on a good day.

Sounds like a definite case of reaction formation here. That's a common psychological problem among Republicans, of course.

I mean, this is the guy who ran an editorial predicting that Bill Clinton would go on to new and more lurid--possibly criminal--sexual exploits, thanks to his unbridled appetites at the very same time that he was attempting to stonewall the barebacking scandal!!!

This is like Marilyn Quayle raging against Hillary's professional ambition while failing to mention that she (Marilyn) had actually induced labor several days early so that she would not miss the bar exam.
