Today Show psy-ops.
Watching the Today Show this morning and the top news story is how the FBI screwed up in regard to 9/11 and they bring Atty. General Gonzalez on to say how good the Patriot Act is in protecting us.

Shortly afterwards, they have Al Roker at the WH with a "report" on ** and his pets. How cute! Let's soften up Georgie with his puppies. It was frigging funny though! He kept calling Barney and Barney just wasn't listening to him!

BTW...did anyone catch Lauer on The Daily Show last night? He was plugging a program of his about the Greatest Americans and mentioned how he thinks Bush will be in the lead. The audience booed and Lauer looked totally shocked and glared.

1. Actually I wanted more out of that interview
Because Lauer didn't seem upset that Bush got booed (he did pause but for a reaction more than anything) and I thought the interview was going well even if it seemed rushed.

I wish TDS would go to an hour. With all the commercials Comedy Central throws in, the show ends up being only 15 minutes long if that.

Think if Jon could conduct a 10 minute interview and report on more scandalous Republican BS in the news.

The show in it's current format is entirely unsatisfying because it's great but is too damn short. And the whole Fridays off and weeks off for vacation thing sucks too.

If Jon can't do all the dates, he should have one of his "correspondents" guest host here and there... like Stephen Colbert.

3. What planet is he on?
He was shocked that the audience booed at the suggestion Bush would be in the lead?

WTF!

I'm sad I missed it.
