I forget where I read it . But I know it was a book
or article that interviewed Greenspan about poppy bush.

Greenspan was scathing saying the economy would completey
collapse if poppy was re-elected . The article went on to
state that Clinton was lied to about the extent of the deficet .

When Clinton took over , and found out the true numbers ,
his first insticnt was to tell the Americans the truth
about the size of the deficet . Greenspan advised not to.
Greenspan had told Clinton if the world and America knew
the extent of the problem it would create anxiety and cause
a collapse of the Markets worldwide .

So Clinton opted to say the deficet was smaller than what it
was sticking to the numbers he was originally informed of .
