I'm going to post a link to it at another message board where we have been debating the patriot act. One woman said the patriot act made us more free, because we wouldn't have to worry about terrorists!

6. Does the Patriot Act look more or less sinister as U.S.A. P.A.T.R.I.O.T. ?

When it's spoken it hardly matters, but written as Patriot, to me it looks more like its about patriotism, which it sure the hell isn't.

Looks aren't everything, but when you're trying to identify a wolf in sheeps clothing...looks are something.

The order, which could be issued as early as today, would require federal prosecutors to "charge and pursue the facts" of the cases they file, and notes that charges shouldn't be filed simply to exert leverage to induce a plea."

Essentially Asscrap has sent out a memo ordering all federal prosecutors to offer only the maximums!!
No plea bargaining...

I must admit to being less informed about the Patriot Act than I should be. Legalese makes my eyes glass over. But Mr. Pitt's arguments are sensible and compelling.
