Poll question: Lets check the support of our candidates |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 12:05 PM by Egnever
Well its been a few days since Wesley Clarks anouncement I figured it was time to do this again and see what effect it has had on DU.
Has your candidate changed? Why?

1. I haven't narrowed it down to one yet |
|
Although depending on how Clark's campaign goes in the next few weeks, my frontrunner (Kerry) might fall behind.
I hope they all rock at the next debate!

22. At our state Democratic meeting Saturday, we had our Dean booth ... |
|
and the only other candidate booth was the 'draft Gore' people. I don't consider that good -- the other candidates need to be active in all venues. It keeps the blood pumping to the Democratic muscles.

4. I currently like Clarke |
|
But it's not written in stone or anything. I might change before I get out and can start working for someone in January. It might change before the CA Primary in March. But no matter who wins the nomination, I will support him against Bush next November.

Fall in love but fall in line is what I intend to do unless by some freak accident lieberman gets the nod. Even then i will probably plug my nose though and mark the D

5. There's only one choice, anyway |
|
And no, it's not some general. It's not anyone who backed the war. It's not anyone who wants to stay in Iraq. It's not anyone who believes we have too much freedom, and actually NEED the Patriot Act. Narrows it down pretty well, doesn't it?

That narrows it down to about three or four candidates who constantly are called "unelectable".

I rotate my vote in these polls, because I like three candidates almost equally. I voted for Edwards this time.

those of us that are paying attention this early in the game. It certainly isnt meant to annoy anyone.
I agree though it doesnt acurately reflect anything but DU opinion. But I find it interesting just the same to see how different events shift support here or anywhere.

20. I'm torn between Clark and Dean |
|
My number one priority is a candidate who can save our country and the world from Bush. He/she doesn't have to be perfect, doesn't have to be idiologicaly correct on every issue, but the candidate has to be able to take it to Bush* and kick him out of Al Gore's house.

I'm now thinking that I would vote for Dean instead of Kucinich because I really don't want Clark to get it. I would rather have a candidate with some politcal experience besides the kind of politics involved with getting ahead in the military + (plus other issues I have with the whole Clark marketing business).

Honestly I hadnt even thought of that thanks for pointing it out. I will try to refrain from mentioning anything that might influence the results.
Course my sig at the top of the poll kinda blows that I guess.

I'd like to see these guys as the one two on the ticket. The combination of the two would cover a lot of ground as far as appeal to supporters.

I'm impressed with how Clark is being preceived by the public. I'm also impressed that Dean is doing so well against Bush in this latest poll as well--behind only by three-points (49-46) among registered voters.

Still Clark. I haven't heard anything to make me doubt him. He's made some rookie mistakes with the PR, but that's to be expected...Dean did at first too, and at this point it's too early to get worried. Most people still aren't paying attention...by the time they are, Clark should have the rough edges worked out. But so far I agree with everything I've heard him say...even his apparent ambivalence about the Iraq War mirrors my own. . ."Saddam was a serious problem, but boy have we fucked this up due to Bush's hubris".
I remain in support of ANY Democrat against Bush. I like Dean, I like Kerry, I like Graham, I like Gephardt. Those are my top tier. But I'd even vote for Holy Joe over PutschCo.

It apears pretty close between clark and dean a 12 vote spread between dean and clark with 255 votes cast. Can we draw any conclusions of how this shakes out here at DU?
Kucinich again is beating kerry which I find interesting also.
