Anyone seen this article?????? (uh-oh.)
Marines arrest US contractors

http://www.news24.com/News24/World/Iraq/0,,2-10-1460_1718477,00.html

snip - Fallujah - US marines said on Wednesday they had detained 19 employees of a contract security firm, including 16 US citizens, in the former rebel hotspot of Fallujah last month after they fired on US forces.

"Nineteen employees working for a contract security firm in Iraq were temporarily detained and questioned after firing on US Marine positions in the city of Fallujah on Saturday, May 28," Lieutenant Colonel Dave Lapan said in a statement.

The marines had been fired at by "gunmen in several late-model trucks and sport utility vehicles".

"Marines also witnessed passengers in the vehicles firing at and near civilian cars on the street," the statement said.

Let me get this straight - US CONTRACTORS have been caught being terrorists and insurgents. REPEAT - US CONTRACTORS have been caught being terrorists and insurgents. HAS THAT SUNK IN YET???????

Go ahead - call me a tinfoil headed idiot, but the death squads of Negroponte are active methinks.

...the same contractors that got the snot beat out of them by the Marines. There's two sides to this story. One side says they're terrorists and the other side says the Marines screwed up when they whooped up on them.

4. Have the contractors already been paid in full? Taxpayers demand a refund!
You know, it's just common sense that you do not pay contractors until the job is done and done right. Once they get that final payment, they are history.

I think the US Taxpayers are entitled to a refund from this contractor.

6. I'm not sure what to make of that
I don't know why "death squads" would fire on marines. They could just be rogue contractors who intended to join the insurgency upon arriving in Iraq. Or maybe it's part of an organized crime operation.

7. No US contacter have been caught firing at US Marines
It is another case of friendly fire not terrorism. I don't want to defend our actions there but to accuse these guys of being terrorists is just wrong. I don't believe they should even be there but they are and I am sure they are not kept totally abreast of the Military's plans and locations. I would imagine that they felt like they were being attacked by Iraqis and it turned out to be US marines. Believe it or not mistakes happen when the bullets start flying. Most or at least a substantial amount of injuries and fatalities are from friendly fire.

9. Are these the ones from ZAPATA Engineering?
Zapata?
(picked at random from a Google Search)
"In 1953, Bush got money from Brown Brothers Harriman and, with partners Hugh and Bill Liedtke, formed Zapata Petroleum. By the late 1950s they were millionaires. Bush bought subsidiary Zapata Off-Shore from his partners and went into business on his own in 1954."

ZAPATA Engineering? You don't suppose the Marines saw something Poppy would rather they didn't, do you?
