What should Dean's next impolite statement be?
That gets the GOP and Democoward DLC types knickers in a knot?

Some I'd like to see:

Why does the press react at all when the far right accuses them of inaccuracy? Take a look at THEIR favorite media outlets, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, who are so far removed from the truth that their fans think Saddam had something to do with 9/11. Maybe they should have fact-checked the talking points Karl Rove faxed them before they read them on the air.

When it comes down to a conflict between the best interests of corporate America and the American people, the republicans will side with the corporations every time--just this week, Exxon and global warming, Arthur Anderson's criminal conviction, hell, they even cut what the justice departments attorneys were suing big tobacco for by over 90%.

When the GOP says raising the minimum wage will cost you money in increased prices, that's bullshit. You already pay for workers with low wages and no benefits when employers like Walmart teach them how to apply for welfare programs because they don't get paid enough to survive. Those are your tax dollars subsidizing one of the largest corporations in the world.

Maybe the Iraqis would stop fighting us if stopped trying to privatize and steal their oil, and stopped building a dozen huge military bases all over their country that make it look like we never plan to leave. The Bush administration is like a monkey trying to get a nut out of a coke bottle. He can got his hand in and got a hold of the nut, but can't get his fist out with the nut. Bush is so stupid though, he doesn't see this as a problem. He waves the coke bottle on his fist around like a trophy, like a retard who found the prize in a box of Cracker Jacks.

The president and republicans don't support the troops, beyond saluting and waving plastic flags. They try to cut any proposal that would help veterans including those who lose limbs in combat. I think supporting our troops is only using them when our security is really threatened, and honoring our promises to give them medical care when they get home.

The GOP showed their true colors with the bankruptcy bill. Regular folks can't file for bankruptcy, but corporations still can, and can use it steal their employees pensions as United just did. I'm ashamed to say members of my own party voted for that, including that mealy mouthed fuck with bad hair plugs.

The one thing someone in the Bush adminstration said that's true is liberals are in the "reality based community," and they just make shit up. We deal with the world as it really is. We see that our gay friends and relatives aren't just going through a phase, and they aren't hurting others, so we figure out a way to deal with it. The GOP would rather use gays to scare the bejesus out of you, then quietly call a gay hooker to the White House in the middle of the night.

Republicans won't deal with even life and death issues if it means crossing a big donor like health insurance companies. As a doctor, I know they routinely deny life-saving treatment and inject themselves into the doctor-patiet decision-making process, and they charge whatever the hell they want because they know GOP Congress and president will never hold them accountable.

If low taxes, weak labor laws, and environmental regulations attracts jobs and is good for citizens of a state, why isn't Mississippi the fastest growing state? Maybe people want to live in a decent community, not a Third World plantation, with a few massahs up in the big house and the rest of us out picking cotton.

Bush and Cheney only speak before handpicked audiences because they are cowards. They don't want to be held accountable by real Americans who have questions about what they do. Their public appearances are something Stalin or Saddam would be proud of, but don't belong in a Democracy.

1. All excellent nominations. Maybe Dean should have a grassroots contest
Contest: can come up with the most inflammatory rhetoric that will put the GOP on the defensive, expose their hypocrisy, show them to be morally bankrupt, and allow us to dominate the news cycles.

If Dean would just make an inflammatory but true statement like the ones you have suggested every few days from now until 2006, we could squeeze the Repubs right out of the media spotlight and reduce their ability to broadcast their propaganda.

7. I think it's time for Dean to hit the DSM
Attention is riveted on him, the press is just waiting for what he has to say next, so he should lower the boom. Bring up the DSM in all its glory, call Bush a liar, demand a response to the "letter of the 89", blame him for the deaths of our servicemen and women, and call for a full Congressional investigation with Bush and Cheney explaining their actions under oath.

And stand back and watch all the media people swallow their tongues.

8. Great idea--though they might try to ignore him to death if he did
Like when Kucinich slammed Ted Koppel for asking such trivial, horse race questions during a primary debate, and ABC stopped covering him the next day.

Maybe the best way for Dean to do something like this would be to go on FOX NEWS, into the lion's den. That way, Rush et all would do most of the spreading of the news for it. In their attempts to debunk, the news will get out.

The only reason the administration wants a bully as an ambassador to the UN is because they lack any capacity to negotiate, persuade, or generally be diplomatic. They only have one management method: Threats.
This administration is going to try to bully the UN into being a rubber stamp for a radically imperialist US foreign policy, which the UN will rightly reject, and then the administration will again claim that the UN is unable to be productive and we must act without them. The same path to war that has been followed by every belligerent tyrant since the UN was founded.

If this is the kind of one party rule corruption we're allowing, what makes us think this is still the United States? Are these the types of people we want RUNNING OUR COUNTRY?"
