On his "memo" segment, he came up with this whole rationale about how the case of this missing girl (Her name is Natalie or something) should be front and center in all our consciousness because it is a huge tragedy BECAUSE SHE WAS SO NICE AND GOT GOOD GRADES etc. So let me get this straight. If she had been a C student, or a dropout, it would be less of a tragedy and we shouldn't give a damn?

And then he prattled on about how it's a cautionary tale because there are these killers all around us and kids need to be on the lookout (even though crime rates are at historic lows), and he tried to tie it to some kind of collegiate shenanigans that happened in Arkansas with mud wrestling and boxing, and he actually said with great portent "the stakes are much higher today, as you will see from the shocking video from Arkansas. This sort of thing just didn't happen 20 years ago."

What is wrong with this idiot? Anyone ever heard of Charles Manson, the Hillside strangler? Has this idiot never seen "Animal House"? He thinks insane partying by college kids is a new thing?
