3. I've heard the History Channel call the Bataan Death March...
Edited on Fri Jun-10-05 02:19 PM by lebkuchen
Ba' TAN.

In the Philippines it's called Bah tah AHN.

The History Channel has made other pronunciation mistakes as well, which tells me their historian is some military guy who was too busy getting clubbed by the opposing force to learn the correct pronunciations of the area, or else is a scholar who had never visited the area to learn such nuances.

Americans say "GOO dah" cheese
Germans say "GOU dah"
The Dutch say "HOU dah"

Que sera sera

8. well, if it's bad..
I still gah-love it. Every time he's about to say that the hour begins, I kinda hold my breath and wait to see if it'll be the normal "now" or the g-version.. lol..
